Visit at lunchtime on 26-Mar-2017. OK choice of food - grills, eggs etc, although burgers were a little disappointing. Service was good as was a decent selection of beers on tap (mostly Beavertown) and cans/bottles.

I’ve visited this place twice now during two visits two London. My second and most recent visit was with two friends on a Friday evening where we had a booking (necessary to get a table). Due to transport issues we were half an hour late. I called ahead and informed the staff of the issue and they were fantastic enough to manage to swap our bookings with another table that arrived early. The ambience on a Friday evening was immensely busy but the staff kept their cool and patience and were professional enough to both listen and offer competent advice regarding beer and food. Everything else remains unchanged from my last review of the place. (OLD REVIEW FROM JUNE 2013) I made a reservation to eat at this place following the Twitter recommendation of Melissa Cole. I arrived in the late afternoon a bit early for my table and the place was practically empty. Very cosy decor a bit worn but with a lot of soul. The staff was very kind and attentive and I had the good fortune to talk to a waiter, who was involved in the brewing of the Beavertown beer. Very inspiring. Foodwise I opted for the burger, which was a mistake since it was just okay and I hear their ribs and pulled pork is really stunning. The available beer was on a very high level both in terms of selection and quality. I think I ended up having around three different bottles two of which from Beavertown, one a collaboration between BrewDog and Beavertown. During my dinner the place filled up rapidly but the staff still remembered me and were curious to hear what I thought of the food and beer. It’s clear that this is a popular place and I can understand the attraction as they manage to make the three elements of good beer, good food and good atmosphere come together to produce something even better than each of the elements.

Visited the 8th November with friends - Nice cosy restaurant in Hackney. Good Beavertown and some guest beer selection. Friendly staff and good service. Food is nice. Ambiance is OK. Nice place to visit.

Visited several times in last few years, always at afternoon for Beavertown ticks. Food is BBQ American style and supposedly very good. The bar area is tiny with a couple of stools and two small tables. They serve 4 Beavertown keg lines and 4-5 guests including a cask line. Guests normally from UK micros, sometimes Belgium. Also have a range of bottles and cans to take away: mostly Beavertown, UK micros and some interesting US stuff. Service has always been good, although I’ve never been there at peak times. Overall, I’ll be back regularly for Beavertown ticks when I can’t hit the tap room.

Visited several times over recent times. It’s a nice place to go for dinner and the food is excellent but it is recommended to book in advance as it is extremely popular. You can squeeze in at the bar and try the handful of beers on show. Always well kept and prices aren’t too bad. Not too bad if you can get one of the few tables near the bar. Do pop in now and again to see if anything new on from Beavertown but with the Brewery being open it’s been overtaken somewhat. If slabs of barbecued meat are your thing washed down with a good beer then this is a great place to go.
