Original and creative decor. Iím at a barrel-aged tap takeover so the selection is really good. Loads of barrel-aged beers from Florida and far beyond. Open-air and laid-back. The food is really good as well. Spendy though, but itís a resort city, so...
Iíve stayed until 5pm so thereís quite the crowd coming in now. As Josh mentioned, the service has gone sideways just a bit, but the bartenders are doing their best. I like it overall. Have no clue what their tap list is like when there is not a special event going on.

This is a beer bar. It has excellent bar food. I went twice in a week and had really good burgers and excellent sides. It is lively every night. It has about 40 American taps and a selection of rare bottles. A few really good beers on tap, but overall the selection has highs and lows. Very good friendly service. Prices are American standard.
Great ambiance...great patio...love snagging a seat inside at the bar where you can look outside over the open back bar. The other thing I love is this placeís proximity to Ft. Lauderdale Airport...with the exception of the great LauderAles Brewery...this is one of the best places to get good beer near the airport...but of the two...the only one with food also. While killing about an hour before heading to my plane...I got to try a very special beer...they had Sweetwater IPA "Old Faithful" with Centennial Hops and black peppercorns "on cask"! This one was worth the visit alone.

Busy corporate type of place, but one that has a decent amount of beer on tap. Sometimes the selection is full of good stuff, other times thereís nothing of note. Can get very busy, and when that happens the service kind of goes south. Not my top pick for Broward, mostly because the corporate vibe is off-putting and the selection isnít as reliable as it could be with that many taps.
This is a large corporate place that could be at home anywhere. I wouldnít go so far as to say it has no character, though, because I like the sprawling outdoor patio and long bar, both of which become surprisingly packed almost every night. Prices for beer veer on stupid, but specials like Monday $5 burgers (falafal/veg and beef) alleviate the pain. Service can be slow on busy nights, but is usually friendly and the managers are totally professional, coming by frequently to check and make sure everything is ok. The selection is good for South Florida. You wonít find anything elite/rare/sublime but you will find seasonals from local breweries. Easy place to come with non-beer geeks, as the vibe is more Yardhouse than it is Laser Wolf. Iíve come with friends who donít even drink beer and itís served us well.
Ok place hit up during a layover at the airport. Have a lot of taps, but only a few of them rotate. The place has a nice patio, but inside is a little character-free. Service so-so but they will sometimes (grudgingly) give samples. Fries I had were pretty much fast food fries. Tasters flights are very expensive at 3 for $14, but I guess they are large sizes at 6 ounces. They wonít let you include the more expensive taps in the flights either. This place is really only worth enjoying if you have a big layover at the airport. Quick busride here and a $13 cab ride back.
The previous night at Funky Buddha, I had asked the guy next to me at the bar which other beer spots I should hit in Fort Lauderdale before my flight. He recommended Tap42, and it worked perfect. Tap42 is located 2 miles north of the Fort Lauderdale airport (FLL), and was convenient and easy to find. There is plenty of parking in their lot, or on the the street. The restaurant is about half large bar and half huge outdoor bar and patio. The bar has a great design, half inside and half outside. Friendly service, clear easy to read chalk beer board. There were quite a few local Florida drafts. I didnít eat, though the tacos and burgers coming out of the kitchen looked good. This fit the bill perfectly, great place to have a couple of beers before my flight. Thanks for the recommendation, random person at Funky Buddha.
76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.
Spacious place with a huge patio area. The place gets packed and is really more of a happy hour spot that happens to have good beer on tap than a place that was designed with beer nerds in mind. I didnít try the food, but the sliders looked good. An impressive tap list for South Florida with many local breweries represented.

One Of my favorite places in SoFlo. The place is beautiful and it sets up a wonderful ambiance for friends and great beer to merge. The beer selection is great and the food selection is not large and a bit pricy but well worth it. Definitely my first choice. Cheers!
First time here yesterday and I have to say, this place impressed. Hopefully they can keep this place fresh and innovative and SE Florida can start losing that "beer dessert" moniker. Very good happy hour dealís including $3 off drafts.
Service was very polite and they busted it out. Hostess was incredibly nice. Decor is sleek modern with enough wood to make it cool and comfortable. Food was very, very good. Had the meatloaf and it was rocking. Just wish I had more time to spend here. A very short trip from the airport in case you have a long stopover or a day to kill before/after a cruise.
