Nice little local pub far from the centre of North Van, but accessible by car from Hwy 1 and Mt Seymour Pkwy. Small but decent taplist, nothing special, but it’s by far the best selection for a bar in the eastern part of the North Shore. Prices are on the high side. Wouldn’t recommend making an effort to come here, but it’s a good pick if you’re looking to chill in Deep Cove.

A great meeting place in North Vancouver particularly to watch fitba or hockey. The beer choice is acceptable but not great and the food is the same. The service is pretty good and the atmosphere is friendly.

Another American style pub, a lot of wood, but cluttered. Kind service at the bar. Yes, they have a few taps, but the average is pretty low (A.Keith, Kokanee, Molson, Big Rock... come on). And, I would add one positive remark but I don’t want to be too much sexist ;-)

Food was great, the burgers are huge and the pizza is perfect. The service was awesome, sat at the bar on a busy Friday night and the bartender still had tome to shoot the s**t with me, great to see there are still ppl who care about the customer. The place needs some work on the ambiance, looks kinda cheap, wires hanging down in some places, but overall the raven pub is a great place.

The Raven is a great place, and I’m surprised it’s been flogged here. As far as service is concerned, I’ve come here many times and I’ve never had a problem. Food is pub grub but can be above average: they make their own deep-dish pizzas and the fries are pretty good. A Crannog or two is usually on tap, as well as some other less common BC beers. Selection has dwindled recently but it’s still a nice, casual, relaxed place to down a pint or two. A little dark and cozy, with several TVs. The Raven is a sensible stop en route to/from Deep Cove and can be an ideal reward after a hike or kayak trip. It’s the kind of place you can come alone and not feel weird, with family members, or with a big group of friends just the same. I don’t know about "corporate" but I’d never call The Raven uninviting.

Visited on June 20th, 2006. A great pub with great atmosphere. I attended this bar in the middle of the day on a Tuesday and many locals dropped by to catch the FIFA World Cup of Soccer match between England and Sweden. Obviously not many Swedes in the neighbourhood. ~20 taps: Storm, Crannog, Granville Island, Phillips, Lighthouse, R&B and Russell. Had the Sandwich Lunch Deal @ $6.95 - shaved chicken, proscuitto, havarti on a cilantro/pesto bun and a honey dill side salad. Good value though there was no evidence of proscuitto? The next table ordered the nachos - I figured the 3 would be hungry but it was the biggest plate I’ve ever seen - at least 18" diameter and a full 12" tall. The place packed 10 minutes prior to the game and the went wild for the Limey win. A good time... I even met a friend from Salt Spring Island.

Have been here many times, some hard to find local beers, but food is never all that good, and service is worse.

"Neighbourhood" pub like every other "neighbourhood" pub in the Vancouver area. I swear they’re all owned by the same corporation, they’re so indistinguishable. The one thing that the Raven has would be a handful of small micros on tap - Storm, Crannog, Lighthouse (first time I’ve seen it on the mainland). You can sink a few pints in here but the atmosphere is strictly corporate and uninviting.
