Pale and bright, has a nice fruity character, a bit thin, but the highly fruity, honeyish hop note is pretty nice.

Pours a caramel brown, with not a lot of head. The aroma hits you like a ton of bricks. Sweet and earthy smell at the same time. The taste is of citrus, and a hint of peach that gets good as the cereal taste hits. A very refreshing beer.

On tap at the Beer Junction, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out pleasant subdued piney hops and dry toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is similar, with piney hops and dry toasted biscuity malt. Very good mix of piney hops and biscuity malt. Solid pale.

On tap at St. Augustineís, pours a clear dark amber / mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma is subdued, with bready malt, a little caramel and very subdued resinous hops. Flavour is dry and malty, with a toasted bready malt base dominating, followed by a little dry caramel and a touch of resinous hop oils. Nicely structured enough but not particularly interesting.

No-Li Born & Raised IPA
Bottle, picked up in Downtown Spirits, Seattle. Darkish amber colour, white head. A bit heavier on the malts than some IPAs in that part of the world, with a fairly classic pine citrus hop punch to follow. Decent. Personally I prefer this type of IPA a bit drier, but this was decent well made stuff.

22, capped and waxed. Pours a murky dark mahogany with a loose creamy light tan head that fades quickly. Lots of lace. Big dry bitter dark chocolate and dry malty whiskey nose. Too much at first, but really grows on you. Creamy thick body with moderate carb. Dry, roasty, bitter malt and dry bitter hops and dry bitter barrel character come together to expose different subtleties in one another that you might have noticed in each on their own. Every sip makes this seems cleverer and cleverer, and the whole idea of a BA black IPA sounded corny at best 10 minutes ago.

Tap at the Holiday Ale Fest A: Mahogany color, cappuccino head, lacing. N: White chocolate, cocoa, coffee, raspberry getting through pretty well, oreo cookies, biscuit, some cinnamon sticks, and graham crackers. T: Very sweet. Not much bitterness, but not cloying. M: Medium body, cola-like carbonation, no alcohol. O: A fun treat that, while not overly complex, is exactly as it presents itself.

Bomber from Super 1 in CDA. No date stamp visible. Aroma is perfume, lemon rind, cotton candy, caramel. Pours hazy amber with a medium beige head with good retention and some lace. Taste is sweet and malty, finishes a little bitter. Tastes more like a barleywine than an DIPA, leading me to believe this is pretty old. In fact, if this was labeled as a barleywine, I would probably give it a fairly high score. Too bad they canít put a date on their bottles.

From a can. Clear amber gold, not much head. Bitter finish, fruity, to me tasted quite generic c hop rather than the hoped for tropical flavours, clean, decent carbonation. Nice oily resin finish. Pleasant, easy, almost juicy.

12 oz can, canned only a week ago, doesnít get much fresher!- Pours clear golden with a medium tan head. Aroma is an explosion of hops, citrusy grapefruit, juicy, resin, sap, sweet light malt. The taste is resinous pine sap, not as in your face grapefruit, but still there, the hops they use here are delicious, wonderful pale.

22 oz wax dipped bottle # 1034- Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is orange, vanilla, chocolate, toast. The taste is oak, vanilla, orange, chocolate, coffee is subtle. The orange is much more pronounced than i thought it would be, but works for the beer, blends with the vanilla and chocolate flavors nicely. The body is thinner than expected, but i donít mind that either, rather enjoying this actually.

No-Li Rise & Grind Ale
Bottle. Moderate to heavy toasted, dark bread and dark chocolate, faint resin for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with coffee and cola in the background. Head is small, frothy, light tan, with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes slightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation. Pretty tasty Sweet Stout with the addition of dark roast coffee.

Wax-dipped bomber, #0814. Bottled 5/16/16, about six months ago. Aroma is oak, coconut, orange, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, raisins, dirt. Pours black with a small tan head that falls after a minute into a ring. Taste is sweet with flavors as the aroma. Orange is more present in aroma than flavor, but either way, itís pretty faint. Should have a fuller body, I think. Tasty, though.

Bomber from Albertsonís. Aroma is very fine indeed, with an explosion of grapefruit and lemon character, along with a hint of freshly chopped wood. Pours clear golden with a one finger off-white head with decent retention and a little lace. Taste is lightly bitter with a touch of candy sweetness with strong flavors of citrus. A little thin, maybe. Overall, really freaking tasty. This is the best No-Li beer Iíve had in a long time.

No-Li Wrecking Ball Imperial Stout
Bottle, what Brian thinks to be a 2014 bottle, shared 10/15/16.
Dark mahogany with deep violet tints and a good clarity. Tan head atop is medium-sized and shows moderately strong retention.
Deep, dark, vinous notes emerge slowly. Strong bakerís chocolate, prunes, plums, currants and a hint of charred grain. Very dark fruit-heavy Impy, which is fine with me. Alcohol is controlled in the nose and it seems to be very obviously well-attenuated. Almost salty, though itís not smokey, with black licorice, light vanilla and more dark fruits peppering the finish.
Long, drawn out dark fruits lend a bitter character to the beer, as low but fairly engaging carbonation and a silky-to-oily texture concentrate the rich acidity and dark chocolate notes. Some light caramel sweetness helps balance, but this thing is very vinous and dry. You donít taste the alcohol but itís there, as this thing defintiely creeps up on you. Pepper, currants, char and bitter, dark chocolate linger on the long finish. This is some serious stuff. Very nice sipper.

Growler fill, thank you William. Aroma is floral, pumpkin, roast, coffee. Pours dark dark brown to black with crimson edges and a small beige head. Taste is bittersweet and roasty with lots of coffee flavor, also some pumpkin, spices. In the end, itís a hoppy coffee stout. Not too bad for what it is.

Growler from the brewery, thanks Bill- Pours dark cola brown to black with a medium tan head. Aroma is mint, anise, some coffee, but had to search, more of a general roasted dark malt. The taste is cinnamon, clove, anise, coffee, chocolate, the hops add a bitterness. Body is medium, carbonation is medium also. Good beer.

No-Li Pumpkin Pie PA
Growler fill, thanks Billybob. Aroma is pine, floral, onion, pumpkin, spices (cinnamon, clove). Hazy burnt orange hue with no head. Taste is an interesting mixture of IPA and pumpkin beer; quite bitter, finishing dry. Carbonationís low, probably a growler issue. Interesting idea that would go down a lot easier with more carbonation.
