I know good beer. I grew up in a house where the quality of beer was like the most important thing. Sadly, this meant that at the time (60s, 70s) there weren’t a lot of domestics around. The American market for good beer hadn’t taken off yet, so German imports were king. My dad would buy a variety and we’d critique them together. If you’ve been doing it for as long as I have, you do learn something. The downside is that I’m looked at as a snob, but whatever. I’m trapped now.
