Beer tasting is a very subjective experience but we should strive to make it, as much as possible, an unbiased endevor. There is a beer for every occasion, and each beer should be rated fairly on its individual merits and qualities as it relates to the style it represents. This should be done with the correct terminology and methodology, and by employing standardized practices as much as possible. Expired bottles and brewery mishaps aside, there is no such thing as a "bad" beer, just better beer.
