UPDATED: MAY 16, 2022 Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. New brewery for me. Clear ruby-brown colour with small off-white head. Bready malt aroma with caramel, fruit and spice. Lovely balance to the flavour with malt, nuts, chocolate, fruit, spice and a grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, fairly soft carbonation for the style. Very good.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2021 Large foamy tan head grew on ruby coloured still body. Fruity, caramel &alt aroma. Medium bodied, highly carbonated with a sharp back. Sweet fruity berries, toffee & malt tastes with an extremely bitter tangy finish. Decent.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2021 500ml bottle. Pours ruby amber with a beige head. Aroma: fruity, nutty, caramel, earthy hints. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, caramel, toffee, fruity. Light to medium body with light carbonation

UPDATED: APR 3, 2021 Bottle from Malt Traders on 6 March 2021. This is the first English beer that I’ve had in ages. Malty with a nice toffee flavour.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2020 Bottle from the brewery. Deep amber colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are malty chocolate dried fruity and toffee. Smooth body.

Tap at the Karntner fest in Austria. Ruby amber color pretty clear and bright, ivory foam. Nose: nutty, yeast is there and mild, cherries a bit. Mouth: cherries, nuts, elegant, balanced and drinkable. Well-brewed.

Bottle. Reddish brown with large off white head. I wonder whether this has been kept a bit warm too long, but it's well in date. 3- A: toffee, red berries, earth, spices. Lightish bodied but a slow drinker. Fairly dry despite some toffee and red fruit. Firm bitterness.

Bottle at The Great British Beer Festival 2017, Kensington Olympia. Malty aroma, malty flavour quite dry and bitter finish.

Bottle @ Cotteridge Wines. Clear amber brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 270717
