UPDATED: MAY 10, 2023 Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a murky mahogany colour with a medium sized thick creamy beige head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel, and brown bread. Taste is fruity with more dry dark fruits and caramel, more brown bread and some brown sugar. A bit sweet but not overly so. Fullish body with average carbonation. Good decent beer.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2021 Recently expired (hope not gone bad.) Smell-weak to medium, malt, Belgian yeast, faint caramel. Foam- Head is small to medium white color, brown tint. Head is is thin, malty, weak belgian notes. Appearance- beer-specific bottle cap? Simple label.Clear ruby color, no carbonation. From - snifter Price- 1,49 euros Taste- malty, weak Belgian yeast, some acidic tones and medicinal notes after all. Sadly gone bad, or at least halfway there. Not pleasant, will not risk it.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2021 Аромат карамельный, немного даже с нотками жжености, фрукты тоже есть но не явные, и вообще аромат в стиль но слабее обычного. Цвет темный, пенка средняя, крупнопузырчатая. Вкус несмотря на 8 градусов весьма питкий и однобокий хоть и в стилистике. Уже больше темных фруктов, намеки на сливу. При глотке уже снова карамелька жженая. В целом обычный темный эль из Бельгии.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2020 Shit off white head left a frothy cover on a rich dark chestnut coloured still body. Malt, caramel & toffee aroma. Medium bodied, overly carbonated with a lighter clean back. Bitter berry, malt, brown sugar & raisin tastes. Lacking in all parts.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2020 0.33 l bottle from 'Speciaalbierpakket.nl', bottled in February 2019. Clear, dark brownish red with a medium large, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, raisins, figs, some overripe banana and traces of clove. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity taste of caramel, overripe banana, raisins, figs and a touch of clove, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Pleasant BSA, classic and well-executed.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2020 Dark brown with a frothy head. Weak smell of roasted malts. Smooth taste with cream coffee and milk chocolate notes. Much better and intense in taste than smell.
