COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Dark, roasted and jam packed full of flavour. Actually it’s very difficult to describe as the characteristics change so much the longer it is allowed to condition for. At its peak it is so rich you feel like asking if it will lend you a tenner. Richer than a lottery winner, our take on Brampton Mild is not so much a meal in a glass as a 5-course banquet. Coffee, toffee and caramel tones tease your taste buds and warm your cockles.

Grumbo (19923) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2022
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2022 3/12/2022. Bottle shared at the post-Australia Blues beer share. From Brampton Brewery Beer Cellar. Pours dark brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa powder, dried fruits, nut and caramel. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Nice sweet chocolate finish, with a waxy edge. Enjoyable mild, not spoiled by too much carbonation as is so often the case with bottled milds. Nicest Brampton I've had.

@GBBF - dark ruby-brown beer with a beige foam left; aroma of coffee and dark fruits (figs, dates), toasted; thin-bodied, low carbonation, smooth and tasty; more dark malts in a long finish of molasses, toffee and coffee

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Festival '17, Harbury, Warks. Very dark chestnut with cream head. There is a fruity maltiness to this, quite rich with a hint of licorice then plummy and full. Some caramel notes, some toffee. Pretty reasonable.

Gravity at The Derby Winter Beer Festival. A copper brown colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, some bready malts, chocolate, slight nuttiness, a little biscuit and subtle dark fruits. Taste of caramel, toffee, some bready malts, biscuit, raisin, slight coffee, a little chocolate, a hint of nuts and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A bittersweet, rich, fruity, chocolatey bitterness in the finish. A great mild, rich in toffee, chocolate and spicy fruit flavours. High expectations and delivered.
