Scopey (24187) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - MAY 27, 2015Bottle thanks to Fergus. What a bro! It pours deep red-brown with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, vanilla, coconut, juicy, permanent marker, wood and toffee. One of the best beers from these guys.
Leighton (33722) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2015Bottle shared in London - huge thanks to Fergus for digging this out of the cellar. Pours crystal clear ruby with a creamy tan head. The aroma holds rich bread, tangy semi-dark fruits, toasted grain, caramel. Medium sweet flavor with pleasant notes of brown sugar, caramel, bread, ripe berries, figs. Medium bodied, a little chewy, with fine carbonation. Sticky sweet finish with more ripe fruits, berries, figs, sugary bread, faint alcohol warmth, gooey caramel. Quite tasty overall.
MattiasA (862) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 26, 2014Bought this from Systembolaget when it was available and tried it with some of the other special releases. I have a hard time with the butterscotch which i think is dominating these beers, there’s also problems with all the ’special-editions’ which in my opinion are all pretty much alike. This particular one i thought didn’t stand up to the wood all that well.

tbopslt (354) - New York, USA - FEB 23, 2013Sampled at the International Great Beer Expo, Rock Hill, NY.
Definitely my favorite of the afternoon. Pours a dark, tea like color. Very small head but good lacing. Very strong but pleasant aroma of malt and a hint of vanilla.
Very smooth tasting. A hint of bourbon and possibly vanilla. I can’t stress how much I liked this beer.
This cannot be compared to traditional brews of any sort. It has a full mouthfeel and definitely not a session beer. A great beer for one or two on a cold night.
