Magnum at Miro's Grande. Cloudy orange with medium white head. Funk, cellar, some leather, barnyard, subtle honey notes. Nicely aged. Nice complexity.

Can thanks to Mike. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong vanilla, coconut, chocolate, roast, booze. Slick body, vanilla bomb, toasted coconut, hides alcohol well, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.

Can from Beer52. Black body with a thick tan head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of pecan pie, coffee and rich chocolate cake. Flavour of raspberry jam, maple syrup, pecan and milk chocolate. Medium to full body with a silky smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is utterly superb.

Malty, roasted, sweet taste with notes of dark bread, oak wood, bourbon, liquorice, caramel, tobacco, treacle, coffee, vanilla and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, sweet. Rich, powerful and warming, still mellow, balanced and harmonious. Excellent beer!

Bottle via the online shop. Fully hazed deep orange gold. Slim dense lasting white foam. Nose has vanilla custard first off. Apricot is secondary. Whiff of milky coffee. Light tangy bourbon in the background. Nailed the dessert aspect, especially as the honey addition comes through as it warms slightly. Taste is semi sweet with a moderate juicy tartness. Properly easy drinking throughout. Touch of fruity bitterness. Slick and almost smoothie like. Juicy lightly tart fruity finish. Ridiculous.

The Kernel Brewery Bermondsey, Greater London

Bottle. Beer Stop Dronfield. One of three I got on the strength of Leighton’s rate. Hazed glowing gold. Swede is stunning. Nose is chock full of stone fruit. Ripe peach and nectarine up front with hints of zested sweet orange peel. Whiff of resin. Bit of yellow melon. Clean dry grain in the background. Taste has a juicy pithy bright fruit bitterness. Little in the way of sweetness overall other than a flicker on the lips. Juicy and mouthwatering on the palate with brisk rolling carbonation. Bitterness lingers on the finish. Oof.

LCI. Uit het blik geschonken. Heel zoet is niet mijn ding, maar bij deze neemt na het zoet de bitterheid over en ben ik een blije drinker. Mooie smaken van chocola, caramel en koffie en op de achtergrond de port en carcavelos. Weer een sublieme barcode!
