Dionysus in Bakersfield is open now, sort of. They’re official to brew and distribute and they have been hosting private events for the club members, but they are not yet open to the public. That will happen very soon it looks like as the tasting room is built out. |
Euryale in Riverside is open now. Open Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. 4 beers on tap currently, early reports are that it’s like every other homebrewery startup: it needs work. I might head out there on Saturday. Not clear yet how to pronounce it. Yuri-Ale or Your-Ale-E? |
Your-eye-ale? |
From Modern Times: "FINALLY, it looks like the word is out about our new LA spot. We are beyond excited to announce that our forthcoming Los Angeles pilot brewery, restaurant, & cafe will be located at 830 S Olive St, in the South Park neighborhood of DTLA. The Dankness Dojo will be our R&D brewing facility, insanely tasty food emporium, and Full-Spectrum Modern Times Coffee Experience. We hope to open this year. You can check out Eater LA’s article with all the current details HERE." |

Two new ones in LA coming up. Still looking for the second one. |
Originally posted by t0rin0 Word. I still try to get to new places, particularly when I go back down to SoCal, but it’s just too difficult and I’m becoming lazy. I guess that’s the benefit of being close to some great bars that get really interesting stuff all the time. I can try all the new beers I want and not have to drive two hours to get to some shitbag brewery that makes four crappy beers. |
