I just heard about a place in Tustin called Archaic. Not much info online but they are open and brewing. The restaurant is called Centro and it’s owned by Pozzuoli Vineyard and their brand of beer is called Archaic.

While looking up Archaic I found another one in Tustin called Unsung Brewing Co (also need to add this). They look like they’re ready to go and they have the ABC license.

I was excited to be down to 25 breweries left to visit in CA and was hoping to be under 20 by the end of the year but it looks like I’m adding 5 more today...

Guess there will be some new garbage to tick in Orange County whenever I’m back down.

I went to Arts District this past weekend. Huge area, great vibe but beer was just ok.

Need a judgment call on whether this is a new beer: Ballast Point "Come About Stout Blend" menu description is "8 Year Barrel Aged stout blended with a fresh batch." ABV is listed as 9.8

Thoughts? It seems like it’s that old bourbon barrel aged one mixed with a new batch of the non-barrel aged one.

While there I ran into the people doing Transplants Brewing in Palmdale. They’re going to start brewing in the next couple weeks, so they should be open by the end of the year. Kind of funny talking to them because they know a lot of the people I knew in my beeradvocate days (don’t remember the screen names but Mark and Gloria Delgado, Eric Sena, Charles Mumford, that whole LA crew).

While looking up Transplants I discovered another brewery that opened just a couple weeks ago, and only a block from Transplants. It’s called Lucky Luke Brewing
