4.1 Burnside White Out Bomber, 2013 vintage, bottle #410/1080. Pine resiny hop aroma with notes of caramel, toffee, red wine, whiskey, oak and dark fruit. Pours cloudy amber colored with a thin off white head that has some retention and decent lacing. Starts with vinous red wine, caramel, toffee and dark fruit flavors as well as having a medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes smooth and dry with pine resiny hops, whiskey and oak flavors. Pretty good American Barleywine, the aging made it a bit sweet. Wednesday, July 8, 2020

3.2 Burnside / Shonan Sakura Gose Appearance is a slightly hazy golden yellow color that pours with a nice foamy white cap of head to it that has a moderate retention to it that leaves a slight skim on the surface, and some thin spotty lacing. Fairly faint aroma to it with a mildly sour note to it and a very light floral hint. Mildly sour forward, faintly fruity and floral with a aromatic hint of cherry to it. Light bodied with mildly sweet, wheaty German malt flavor coming in towards the back end. Faintly salty note on the finish giving a slight note of pickled lemons with maybe a faint hint of rhubarb, slightly higher then average amount of carbonation to it gives it a fairly clean aftertaste with maybe a ghostly aromatic floral note to it that lingers faintly on the palate. Overall its fairly well balanced & clean with a subtle floral cherry hint to it, however that is also its weakness as it feels fairly, Meh and forgettable. Tuesday, January 28, 2020

3.7 Burnside Saga Thanks to Mike for digging this bottle out of his basement. And it's a verycool, uniquely shaped bottle. The beer is fine as well. Aroma of alcohol, dark chocolate and campfire. Flavor is sweeter, more milk chocolate with sawdust and toffee. Light and smooth on the palate. Kinda wimpy finish. Too dark to see through, mild chocolate head. Monday, January 20, 2020

2.8 Burnside The Dapper Skeleton Rated 1-17-2020. I really liked this brewery and was sorry to see them close. Pumpkin beer is not my thing and took a sip of my wife's beer and found it to be a little different than the usual pumpkin ales. Still not to my liking though. Friday, January 17, 2020

4.4 Burnside White Out 2013 Bottle [Bourbon Barrel Aged] Super crisp and hazy copper coloured body with a bright bronze glow and a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of alcohol, bourbon, malt, peat, grain and a dose of hay with some funk and a light touch of caramelised sugars towards the end - quite strong, especially in the bourbon department. Medium to perhaps Full-bodied; Strong, dense malty and peaty flavours with a lot of depth from the bourbon and alcohol notes with a light dose of caramelised sugars and pure toffee on the finish, with perhaps a dash of fruits as well that show more of a pitted fruit and apple flavour. Aftertaste shows the bourbon, alcohol and peat notes by far the strongest with a noticeable set of vanilla and dry oak right behind, but the punch and potency from the grain is very noticeable, but in a good way. The finish is very smooth and incredibly subtle given the complexities and depth/alcohol involved with this one - the aging has done tremendously here and perhaps an amazing time to drink this one! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 03-May-2015 for US$10,39, sampled just past four years later on 23-May-2019. 2013 Vintage Bottle // Purchased: 03-May-2015 // Sampled: 23-May-2019 Friday, May 24, 2019

3.9 Burnside IPA Rated 2-8-2019. Loved this brewery too bad it closed. Good food and beer. Found out one of the brewers is now working at Coin Toss Brewing. This was a really good IPA and had it a few different times. Friday, February 8, 2019

4.4 Burnside Too Sticky to Roll Tried this the first time we went to the brewery and liked it better than the 2nd variation which is a NW Red (more hoppy). The malt body and taste really came through and with a two finger head and a reddish/orange color it was very good. Friday, February 8, 2019

3.3 Burnside Lime Kolsch Bottle: Poured a clear golden color Kolsch with a small foamy head. Aroma of lime juice and lime zest with some light cereal notes is enjoyable. Taste is a mix of dominant notes of lime zest and lime juice with some light cereal notes and some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable and refreshing but not sure the base Kolsch beer can really be tasted through all the lime notes. Monday, November 5, 2018

3 Burnside Sweet Heat Bottle. Hazy straw colored with an off-white head. Aroma of wheat, must, and minimal peppers. Pretty standard wheat beer taste with just a glimmer of heat (maybe) at the back of the throat. Slick and smooth. Apricot and scotch bonnet....barely at best. OK wheat beer though.

2 Burnside Permafrost Almost opaque amber with a white head. Smells malty and sweet. A light hoppiness balances out what might be an otherwise too sweet finish. Raisin and candy sugar after taste. Saturday, January 13, 2018

3.3 Burnside Permafrost Very hazy amber color. Smell is surprisingly dominated by bready malts. Taste is firstly caramel malt and sweet. The strong hop presence gives this one a bitter tang, but overall, has a strange fruit juice reminiscence. Saturday, January 13, 2018
