JorisPPattyn	3.4 De Leite Enfant Terriple Quadrupel Blond Rum Infused Good white, dense head over finely carbonated golden beer. Pale malts, vegetables as celeri, DMS. There is a fine sourish background aroma as (cooked) rhubarb. Alcoholic character, rum, gin, and starch. Less obvious DMS, but still present. There is a weyish bitterness, linked to the booze. Certain sweets/gums. Very fiery alcoholic, medium bodied, slick to viscous. Good carbonation. Boozy, not very subtle. And the I par excellence /I example why "Quadrupel" ought not to be considered as a style. Strangely enough, available at Colruyt supermarkets in 75 cl bottles. Sunday, May 5, 2024

DraftPours23	3.6 De Leite Cuvée Mam'zelle Robe orangée légèrement voilée, mousse correcte mais éphémère, ne reste que quelques petits riens en surface. Nez suret, boisé, un peu vineux, assez complexe. Attaque sure et plutôt sucrée, un côté grisette, ou faro, le boisé est vif, bien présent, et se marie bien avec l'acidité. Des notes cidrées, avec un ensemble plutôt complexe et assez riche. L'alcool ne se sent pas, neutralisé par l'acidité, mais doit bien contribuer à charpenter et enrichir l'ensemble. Pas mal du tout ! More astringent than sour. Cherry pit, old wood, cider vinegar sweetness, old red wine, lots of dark cherry. Pithy middle, itchy skin finish. Just a touch too much vinegar. Not bad. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, champagne effervescence, and a touch of esters. Flavour is yeasty, with gentle cotton candy, Belgian yeast, and a touch of esters. Oakes	3 De Leite Enfant Terriple Pale, big pale malt character, touch phenolic, a big alcohol hit, and the malts kind of go watery on the palate. bondar22	3 De Leite Cuvée Père Passionist The smell is pleasant, sour and bitter at first, then spicy with the transition to the smell of smoke. The color is similar to light wood, cloudy. The taste is complex. At first it is very dry and sour, with a feeling of direct drying in the throat, then it becomes a little burning bitter with a clear taste of sour passion fruit and ends with a spicy smoky taste. Sweet-ish, yeasty fruity and wheaty malty aroma, hints of honey, apricot. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, notes of honey, apricot, mirabelle, mildly bitter hoppy counterpart with a floral touch of orange. SilkTork	3.4 De Leite Cuvée Oncle Pol Sept 2023. Small brown bottle, unfiltered, from LCB. I love these sweet malty sour beers. You don't need hops to balance sweetness when you can blend in an aged beer. Makes for great character and great tasting beer. This is very drinkable. Lovely fruit tartness, a bit like a cherry sour sweet, with just enough proper malt to hold it back from being too playful, though I would welcome a bit more. Tastes nothing like 6%, and that's also a shame. Still, a bloody decent and tasty beer which I'd be happy to drink again and again. [3.4] Friday, September 29, 2023
