Please find the Beer and Cider list for Merton Beer Festival, there are still a number of ciders/perries to be finalised and there are some additional details outstanding on a least one of the beers.

Where I’ve indicated a beer is new, I suppose what I am saying is that it is either a brand new beer, or new to this site, of course there may be one or two that have cropped up elsewhere unbeknown to me.

S/V after the ciders/perries means that this is a single varietal.

Cheers Craig.

Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July

The annoying thing is that I cannot go back into my original post and edit it to add the dates, really frustrating that!

As always mate, your cask selections are gems through and through! That would be about 29 new rates and 4 new breweries for me. (Not counting the ciders.) I am sad indeed to be missing two of my favorite drinking days in the whole calender. I’ll have to plan a UK visit to coincide with the next one.

That is a great list Fin, good luck with the fest. It’s just that RBESG was already booked.

Thanks for the kind words.

Bit of a bugger that we clash with RBESG coz’I would have loved to have gone to that myself, but we set the date a year ago and have to be careful not to clash with the other local festivals around here. I look forward to seeing Mark and anyone else who can make it, but sad that Casey and Glen won’t be here this time.

An excellent selection Fin, of course you know that whichever was the one that Loz chose will be the Beer of the Festival

Beer Update

I actually have some details on beer No: 14 on the list. These notes are from my dad’s conversation with Richard the brewer yesterday. I understand that this beer will only be available at Derby and Merton Summer Beer Fests’

Bottlebrook - Pioneer - 6.5% - Pale Blonde - Using mostly Pioneer Hops this beer is Citrussy with grapefruit and also has hints of honeydew melon.

Also Amber Brewery - Hop Devil IPA is 5% not 4.8%
