72 Dive bar in cool area of philly. Decent sized draft list not exciting for my tastes. Lots of non local mainstream craft. Anyways bartender was cool fella and enjoyed the spot. |
64 This is a cool little joint. Got that 1950's diner look to it. |
78 Visited on 12th October 2017. Nice looking bar which has a diner feel to it. Place was really busy but managed to squeeze into a table. A decent beer list on show, picked up a couple of new beers, service was good, prices were good value. I'd visit again. |
78 When I visited: Late September 2014.
What I had: Allagash Hugh Malone, Victory Wild Devil Ale, and Yards Cape of Good Hope on tap; Lancaster chicken for me; black kale and parmesan linguine, cocktail and a few glasses of sauvignon blanc for my fiancé; Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup beignets to split.
What I liked: Managed to grab seats right away on a busy Saturday night; nice understated décor with ample space between tables; my partner enjoyed her wine and cocktail; impressive draft list with a focus on local and regional crafters; all of our food was delicious; prices are reasonable for what you get (except for some of the bottles).
What I disliked: Our waiter was efficient but not that engaging; they were out of three beers that I wanted to try; tap lineup is very good but not among the best in the city.
Would I go back? Yes.

84 Really enjoyed going to this place over the years. Great place to try new beers, especially at happy hour: 3 dollars anything on tap, even the big beers

66 Let me preface by saying I will give the place another shot. The taps had a good selection and the bottle list was decent. The food was good pub food and fairly priced. Cool 40’s pin-up atmosphere. Major knock was the service. The bartender and waitstaff were very inattentive and hanging out at one end of the bar not paying attention to anyone. The bartender was not helpful and did not want to be bothered. |
80 Popped in on my Philly pub crawl - 24/05/12. Was fairly quiet being 2.30pm but unfair to knock the ambiance rating down due to the time so have given a 4. Bar staff friendly, gave samples etc. Good choice from the 20 taps with offerings further afield than the east coast, Rogue, Great Divide amongst others along with local PA favourites.
Will definately head back here! |
82 Very enjoyable visit here recently, and this is a nicely understated sidewalk bar with fine food and beer. Having just been to the laughable scene that is Farmer’s Cabinet, this unostentatious place was just the ticket. Ordered up some pickled veggies and spoke with the extremely knowledgeable server about the nicely extensive beer offerings. He steered me right twice, and that greatly enhanced the experience. Tons of brews from Prism, Sly Fox, Manayunk, and many others. I definitely hope to go back. |
84 i love this place; awesome food, pinup art all over the walls/ceiling/bathroom... i usually stop in here before a phillies game for happy hour. half price beers! they always have additions to the menu, which is outstanding to begin with. they usually do not have the real hard-to-get stuff which is nice for me because it’s not crowded when i’m in there during the week for happy hour. great spot. |
88 Great place to eat outside and enjoy a beer from their nice selection. |
