“Visited immediately after flight and hotel checkin, 24th February 24, with Matthijs. We had a few in this place, all were solid, mostly IPAs, we sat outside in the evening, it was not so busy, but busy enough, daytime had been busier according to Matthijs. Also ate the Spicy boys food, which was fine. Worth a visit when in central Austin“

“Visited here 24th February 24, fresh of a plane from U.K. with Matthijs. We had been to Zilker earlier and this was a walk away from there. We stayed for one beer, I had an IPA which was decent. A reasonable selection in a large venue. Good vibe and nice chilled area. Worth checking out for sure“

“Visited Sunday 25th February 24, with Matthijs. We took an Uber out from Austin Downtown and then another Uber down to San Antonio, I recommend this. It was a sunny day, which was ideal for a visit, we got a table in the sun, the staff stored our cases and set about the beer menu, ordered a burger, then at 13.00 we did the brewery tour, which was only 10 bucks each, and included 4 pours of different beers, all were decent. The beers on tap were not extensive, but all decent, we also shared some cans. The bar only served full pours of some beers,,but the barmaid allowed us to share a large pour in two glasses. Pizza was also excellent. Loved it there, and recommend this as a must stop“

“Stopped in here after hour 6 mile walk around the historic district and river walk in Austin. They say they have 200 Beers on tap. I juat asked for the 4 best NEIPAs (1 was not a hazy) the 3 were good. I then got a short pour for a stout that was good. A big place. Not many people there in January.“

“Patty and I had lunch here today after a walk a long the river. It was nice to have a decent IPA even though it was not very hazy for a hazy IPA. (That was Zilker's fault) A ruben sandwich with no sides $18!! It was a bit pricey, No happy hour pricing. About 12 taps to choose from.“

“Came here on 11.1.2024. Large place with a few fermentation tanks to your right and the Brewhouse at the rear end behind the merchandising area. Large outside space with some good views to the brewing area and a foot truck. Liked their merchandising with cowboy look. 5 standard beers and a dozen specials. Beers were just ok. Hazy IPA was not hazy, West Coat IPA was mediocre. A few Lagers on tap. Was expecting more.“

“New location. Nice modern brewpub. Long tables, a few couches and a nice cement bar with about 8 chairs. A window/doors into the brewery. Big patio with permanent food tricks. Fast and friendly service. The don't have flights, but do samples and 1/2 pints. They have a few coolers with beer to go. The beer was very good, clean and crisp.“

“Located in the Texas Hill country on what looks like an old farmstead it’s definitely appropriate and sensible they do so many great farmhouse beers. Great beer, lors of selection, striking landscape, fun even at 105 degrees, what’s not to like?“

“A classic in Austin, a must! Located in a farm setting on the outskirts of town, this place rocks. No inside seating, just an open barn which serves as shelter from the elements. Pizza looked good. Beers are solid to exceptional, especially the wild ones, and the prices are very reasonable, from 2.50 to 5$. Rent a car and go! ...and bring a designated driver!“

“About 10 minutes walk from Pinthouse, this place reminds me of a classic British pub. The place looks great, all Tudor look, wood benches, big patio. Extensive beer styles produced but what i tasted was variable. No tasters, just half pints for 5$. Food truck on premise.“

“Stopped here after a full afternoon of walking in mostly 100F heat...the place was packed on that thursday early evening, standing room only for me. The place is all communal seating, big (empty) patio, and the pizza looked fantastic (but alas, i was not hungry). All beers tasted were very solid, especially the IPAs. Flight of 4 for 14$.“

“Closest brewery in walking distance from my hotel, this place is located in a small strip mall next to the convention centre. The place is very cosy, with shades of green and copper. The service was decent. Good Wifi. Beers were well made (good NEIPA and Quad) but flight of 4 is expensive at 16$.“

“Had dinner there, mainly driven by the reputation of the BBQ, which was good, but expensive! Usual barn like vibe. As for beer, they do offer over 15 brands of micro cans, with IPAs, lagers, reds, a triple...not a beer destination but decent selection for BBQ.“

“I’ve been to a lot of Whole Foods locations in a great many states, and I have to say this is up there in terms of beer selection - lots of local brews in bottles and on draft, with a handful of interesting locals on tap - certainly the best selection I could find in the downtown area, which is mostly focused on the young crowd looking to get drunk on cheep booze along 6th street - not much to say about ambiance - if you’ve been in one Whole Foods you’ve been in them all - if you’re staying downtown, this is where you should be coming to buy beer.“

“Medium-sized industrial space with a substantial outdoor area and dedicated spicy chicken food truck - along the hip and gentrified east 6th corridor - very popular among the Gen Z crowd - walked past here a bunch on my recent visit and it was always packed - like a few other breweries in town, the selection seemed limited to lagers and hoppy ales (with the addition of one quick sour) - beer I had with pretty well-made - vibe is decent - I’d hit Lazarus up the street, instead and maybe hop in here afterwards if you have the time.“

“Really cool space that shares an outdoor patio with a neighboring restaurant - lots of covered outdoor seating and a small number of indoor tables - great vibe and aesthetic - selection was mostly lagers and hoppy ales of some variety, so I was a little disappointed in the selection and variety - the lager I had was well-made, it the IPA was supremely disappointing - service was fine - no televisions, which I really appreciated - it’s a decent spot, but I prefer the breweries to the east of downtown.“

“In the heart of downtown - comfy ambiance in hotel-land - front patio is okay, plus a food truck in back - most of the tap list is comprised of beligian ales you can find in any decent bottle shop on the US - but they have a handful of brews harder to find outside of Belgium, especially on draft (Chimay 150 and Delirium Black on my visit) - that alone made it worth a stop for me - the fact that it is a block from my hotel made it a bonus - prices are about what you’d expect for draft Belgian beer in the US (anticipate dropping at least 25 bucks for a couple beers) - I’d visit when in town, but we’re I a local, I’d probably never come.“

“Across the street from the convention center - serious basement vibes - okay selection of mediocre beer - all the downtown bus and duck boat tours park in front - there was a bridal party here on my visit, which comprised almost all the patrons besides me - would not return and would not recommend others come unless you are staying downtown and have no ability to get a few miles east, south, or north to the better breweries in the core of the city.“

“Large space with lots of outdoor seating and a small stage for live music - in a trendy, gentrifying area of town - pretty massive, with excellent ambiance and a laid-back vibe (as seems customary in this town) - extensive tap list, with lagers, Belgians, and the requisite half-dozen or so IPA’s, as people basically expect these days - beers I had were solidly-made - the Belgian strong, in particular was great, which I consider a high mark for the overall quality of a place (I might try to come back again while I am in town just to have more of it) - chill place with great beer - recommend visit if staying in or near downtown.“

“Stubb’s turned out to be a block or so from our hotel, so let’s go there. The waiter listed the small but decent spread of local beers on tap for us. I picked an IPA from 512 Brewing in Austin. Nice. The barbecue was good, service was prompt and courteous and I had a tasty pour, all right by me.“

“Quick stop between two other venues. Upper scale supermarket, something like Whole Foods. Good beer selection, about a dozen of Jester King bombers, Vista brewing, Real Ale, Maine Beer co. Rest of the beers are 6 and 4 packs. Wouldn't expect anything super interesting.“

“Spacious taproom, plenty of seating inside and a patio outside. Comfortable bar chairs. They had 35 taps on during my visit. Several ciders, couple of guests, rest of the selection were their beers. Plenty of different styles. Quality was very good. Kind and friendly service. Good pizza to go and it was quite good. If you're without car it's not conveniently located, but it is one of the best places I've visited in Austin.“

“Medium sized place with a large beautiful beer garden. They have 12 beer of mostly local craft beers, solid variety of styles and quality seems to be good. Beer garden is perfect for work or chill, there is a pond with a small waterfall in the middle. There are bunch of food trucks across the fence including one of the best BBQ places in town - Leroy and Lewis. Only downside would be serving beer in a plastic cup (points down for service). Recommended.“

“Huge, beer garden/bar. Very nice setting altogether with plenty of shade and a stage. Seems to have plenty of space inside as well. Although not a beer geek place, large bar has good choice of local beers, Martin House Acheron wood pretty good. Only downside for me were the plastic cups beer is served in. Nice place to chill and have a beer if you're nearby.“

“Outside of city center, reachable by car. Big modern interior taproom with large patio in the back and more tables spread under trees in the beer garden. Seems family friendly. They had about 15 of their own beers on tap, some of the lines were closed for cleaning though. Like many breweries here they seem to be focused on lower abv beers. Still plenty of styles to choose from. Beer quality was OK. Good service. There was a food truck in the back, not sure about the food options. Worth checking out if you have means to get here.“

“Bit outside of city center, but fairly close to some other beer venues. Looks like a traditional pub imitating those in UK. Picnic tables outside and traditional interior with loots of wood inside. They had more than 20 of their own beers on plus about 15 taps of guest beers. Lots of usual suspects in guest department. Couple of hand pulls as well. Their beers seem to be more traditional style wise. The one beer I've tried was below average, but I wish I had more time to try the rest. They still serve half pours so not too bad for tickers.“

“Excellent Belgian beer bar in downtown Austin. 14 taps when I was there -including Piraat, de la Senne, Tripel Karmeliat, Chimay, Westmalle, Straffe, St. Bernardus, Gulden Draak, Duchesse de Burgogne, Delerium Tremens, Blanche de Bruxelles. Perhaps not hard to find beers but definitely top notch Belgians and hard to find on tap for sure. They have some bottles as well but nothing out of the ordinary. Anyway, worth a stop if you want some good Belgian beer.“

“A little hard to find. It is right next to/behind another establishment called Bar + Cafe. Long tables in a covered outdoor area plus indoor seating. Very popular even on a Monday afternoon. They have 14 taps, lots of low gravity styles, but plenty of selection. They have a food menu which is mostly sandwiches and burgers, but some other interesting selections such as chana masala frito pie. My saad with cabbage, greens, edamame, avocado, peanuts, kimchi-peach vinaigrette was awesome. Definitely a great place to chill with a few beers and be sure to order food!“

“A brand new brewery in a reconverted warehouse district but a little away from the other sites. Small place but not too busy on a Sunday evening. Supposedly they have a food truck, but it wasn't there at 6 pm. 14 taps, lots of lower gravity styles, highest abv was 9%. But most are around 5-6. Kind of an odd place, maybe because it's new? It was ok, but nothing memorable.“

“Large space in an old warehouse district that has been reconverted. Some indoor tables and outdoor seating as well. They had about 10 taps. Some basics such as IPAs, kolsch, dry stout. Also they had just released a series of barrel aged imperial stouts, which were boozy but good. Loud music, no TVs. They had the Spicy Boys food truck on site. Good beers, nice place to chill.“

“Large spot super popular especially on a Sunday morning/afternoon for brunch. Despite arriving about 30 minutes after opening, we still had to wait for 50 minutes for a table to eat. But you can still order beer from the bar and hang around. It's a very large place with community style tables and standing tables by the bar. There is an indoors which I didn't see. They have an extensive tap list (not quite 200 beers as advertised but a lot). All local beers too. Food is pretty awesome - got the pancake platter on the brunch menu which was delicious. They are also known for their sausages. A great stop, very popular, be prepared to wait for food!“

“Large brewery about a mile out of downtown Austin. Lots of outdoor seating, indoor long tables, and a very small bar. Music but no TVs. The Spicy Boys fried chicken food truck is a staple. “Large place in Austin. Some outdoor seating and very large indoor space, with a long bar, plenty of tables, and an indoor stage. They had 4 regulars on tap and 5 seasonals. Nothing earth shattering, mostly pretty simple styles. Their regulars are a helles, pils, pale, and ipa. We tried a Schwarzbier and session ipa from the seasonal list, both solid. “We came here 17.7.2022. Located 20 miles outside of Austin. It is a huge farm land with several barns and a nature trail you can walk before enjoying their beers. They exist for 11 years and just purchased the land and have big plans to grow more grapes and hops. In the main barn they had great live music. They are specialized in sour beers and won a few big awards already. Most of their beers are fermented spontaneously in a cool ship. We loved all we tasted including their IPA’s. The food ordering system is very modern and might be a challenge for some of their customers. A MUST VISIT when you are in the area .“

“We came here on 17.7.2022. Seems to be an old pub from 1969 which has added a brewery. About 20 own beers. The two IPA’s we had were excellent (check the Dandy Hazy IPA).
