“Tiny shop, near the Marktplatz. No real ambiance, just a few coolers, shelves, and beer everywhere. The employee was very friendly and helpful. High quality selection, with some good local stuff, regional oddities, and good stuff from around the world. Worth a stop.“

“Basement location, not far from the altstadt. Big, open space, with a friendly bar. Lots of eclectic decor. Everything is counter service, but the bartender was friendly. Excellent tap list, and some Bierol stuff in cans. The pizza is quite tasty, too. Great spot, in a cool city.“

“Great setting in downtown Innsbruck. Large outdoor space and plenty of seating inside. Good beer selection with a very good pilsner, who's name unfortunately escapes me. Went there twice and experienced great service and very good food. Lots of locals which is always a good sign.“

“an Augustiner beer hall in an old medieval building with typical Augustiner beers on tap and in bottles and really good Bavarian/Tiroler dishes for very reasonable prices - definitely worth visiting to eat (and drink) something“

“This place is amazing. It’s definitely one of my favorite beer bars in Europe. Downstairs underground with vaulted ceilings. The pizza looked amazing. They have live music (think Cavern Club). Friendly staff with like 20 taps. The Austrian craft breweries that they put on draft are doing it right.“

“We visited here Saturday 28th September 2019. We were on holiday and decided to stay at a campsite that we'd last stayed at in May 2012, Camping Innsbruck- Kranebitterhof, 4 miles from Innsbruck and a very easy cycle ride into town along the river and besides the airport. This shop is easy to find, it's close to both the river and the market and the top beer place Tribaun is also only a very short stroll away. The large 'Beer Shop' sticker on the window gives a visual aid to indicate that you have the right place. Inside it's very small and if 3-4 people are browsing the two fridges and shelves then it's also quite cramped. The selection is pretty good, particularly for the size of the place. There was lots of Basqueland also a Hong Kong brewer I'd never heard of, even one or two US beers. There was plenty of regional beer and German offerings of course, even a few UK craft on the shelves. Prices were very reasonable and service good. I quite liked the place, however it's small size and limited selection would see me only visit occasionally if I lived close by.“

“If you are in the area, or a few moment, in Innsbruck, just go there, nothing that it is a paradise for a beer lover, but you can get some Zillerthal Bier, one or two Austrian craft beers and others classical one of this beautiful country, good opening time, in the train station, I had just a problem to create this new place, making an error at the moment to create this place, I had tried four times, thinking that something got wrong and they created four places, a bit strange.“

“It is a typical Getränk Shop with an average selection of Classical Austrian breweries, I was expecting something better with more breweries, even though I have found one or two things, classical market service not a five stars Singapore Airline service, keep an eye, if you are in the area.“

“Relatively big supermarket, located in a shopping center, close to the main train station. There is a reasonable selection of craft and classical Austrian beers, nothing crazy but you can keepan eye, with a good choice of Zillerthal beers, average supermarket service, much better than the Aldi.“

“It is a nice and little shop, located, in the center of Innsbruck, decent selection of Austrian craft beers and classical, some German ones and you can get the classical countries like Denmark, all kind of prices, you should have to visit this shop, if you are in the city.“

“Visited January, 2018 (before I started reviewing places on here!). Good selection of Austrian and German micros (best I found in either country honestly) and a decent bottle shop in the back. Downside is that (a) as with many Austrian bars, the smoking area had smoke filtering into the non-smoking area and (b) there were a couple of couples hugely big into PDA. Good bar though.“

“Fairly large cellar bar in the city centre, darkly lit, with lots of different seating options. The selection of beers here is fantastic - great quality and variety, with a constantly updated list of all currently available draught beers on their website. Flights of 4 for around 8 EUR are available. They stock a couple of bottles to take away as well, though these are unfortunately not refrigerated. The place was full of drunk and obnoxiously loud Italians when I arrived for a little post-midnight Friday morning tasting. Was just about to continue drinking in the streets after my first flight when they decided to leave. I got the impression that they kind of cater to these sorts of crowds here. Not exactly condusive to the atmosphere. Otherwise a top-shelf place!“

“Small bottle shop next to the Inn. About 200 bottles on display, both on shelves and in fridges, with nicely visible pricetags. Mostly international fare, which was slightly disappointing as I was hoping to bag some good-quality Austrian beers. Found a couple of interesting bottles nonetheless. Friendly staff, very eager to help. A great shop for the locals I suppose.“

“Came here on 25.12.2017. Located next to the Golden Roof, the landmark of Innsbruck. The ambiance would be nice due to the stone vaults, but interior is a bit old and the smoking area in the front is not a plus. 6 draft beers and one Radler on tap. I had the Mohrenbräu Bockbier. 14 bottle beers from Austria and roughly 20 from the rest of the world. Overall an ok place with too many Heineken beers unfortunately.“

“Small beer shop in central Innsbruck with a surprisingly good selection. Focus on craft beer, with a mix of local, German and international stuff. For example some scandinavian breweries you'll hardly find in Austria, like Omnipollo, Dugges, or Lervig. Nothing too rare though, while well priced, lower than what I would expect for such imports in a small shop in Austria. Very friendly, helpful owner. Overall highly recommended for Innsbruck, the only place beside Tribaun who offers interesting stuff for beer geeks.“

“Le meilleur bar à bières d’Innsbruck, une sélection de 20 bières au fûts et une petite dizaine en bouteille, petite terrasse agréable, service trés sympas et prix raisonnables. Un incontournable pour les amateurs de bières de passage dans cette ville. Petit beer shop au choix assez restreint.“

“A very nicely decorated, comparably large basement place in the heart of Innsbruck. Many good Austrian brews on tap (and sometimes real international gems and Franconian delights!) as well as a great bottle selection. Flights are offered as well as single tasters. The owner is really acting on conviction. Pricing is fair, and the staff knows their stuff. Easily the best beer bar in Austria, adding incredible value to the Tyrolian beer scene, and also one of the better ones internationally.“

“Located right next to the Goldenes Dachl, I would not have a beer place expected here. The selection is similar to other places in town, a couple of big internationals and some Austrians, some of which are interesting, though. Service was nice and quick when I was there, and the prices are very reasonable especially for this location. A nice place to hang out.“

“A small and cozy bottle shop in the heart of Innsbruck. The staff is nice and helpful. The selection consists of mainly Austrian and German beers, I found a couple of interesting new ones. Some good classics from other countries as well. Pricing is very nice. Recommended, but then again there are not many beer places in Innsbruck.“

“A fun place that is centrally located, with a sympathetic but incredibly inconsistent menu design. Frequented by many students as far as I could tell. A couple of Austrian beers on tap, nothing special but I found two ticks. Service is nice and fast, the food looked delicious (though I didn’t try any). Fairly priced as well.“

“Very nice place with a very good pizza, 20 taps and some bottles. I guess it is almost impossible to find a better place in Austria to have a proper craft beer - both European and Austrian. Austrian craft beers are maybe not the best in Europe, but I still have managed to find one really great. You can buy small samples 0,1cl which is good.“

“I was there during Zwanze day 2016. That alone deserves a higher rating, that an Austrian beer pub manages to participate in this special event. It’s located in the basement of an older building right beside the old town of Innsbruck. Really beautiful, cosy location that looks a bit like a wine cellar bar. There’s also a smoking area, but fortunately the big bar and the shop are both in the non-smoking area. Good alternative rock music. Staff was really friendly and helpful throughout the whole evening, although it got quite crowded and stressful.

The selection of beers is quite outstanding for Austrian means. Very good mix of locals and international stuff, Ales, Lagers and sour beers. Some of the beers I saw for the first time in Austria and they had almost nothing of the standard craft beer stuff you get in every craft beer bar or bottle shop in Austria. About half of the 20 taps (fortunately all stronger beers) are available as 0,1 or 0,33 samplers, the other half 0,33 or 0,5. The beers tasted all fresh to me and they also seem to rotate taps pretty often. During my stay at least 2-3 taps changed. Prices are good, around 1,50 to 1,80 Euros for 0,1 litres. There are also two walls with bottles for take away, nothing outstanding, but a few harder to get bottles and with focus on Belgian styles.

Overall this is nothing less than one of the top 3 beer places in Austria for modern craft beer in my opinion, that can also compete with more famous international tap bars.“

“Seems like a nice place. Decent selection, though only 13 of the 20 taps on when I visited. All taps European with austrian, german and italian providing most of the beer when I was there. Beers in good condition, and staff seemed very helpful for people who needed help. Ambience was comfortable, though I spent a Tuesday night there, so it could be different at weekends. I had several nice beers, but nothing really great in the styles I like most. For me, a craft beer place with 13 taps should have a proper IPA on, and something strong and dark. I was there during off season, so maybe the selection improves in student / skier season. Shop has a decent selection, with several offers on IPAs near to best before. I took the risk so I guess I can report back as to whether they were still OK (can report, still in decent nick, and excellent value!).

“Rather large basement bar. The highlight are the 20 taps. Good selection of mainly Austrian, some Belgian, German and Italian beers. As a local there was only one of the Austrian beers I have not had. Overall they have a good selection of the better distributed Austrian craft brewers. Some of the tap beers are available at 0,1l sizes, others are only available at 0,33l (they seem to have changed that after previous reviews). They also have a "shop" area in the back. Like the tap list mostly austrian & belgian beers + some german & italian and some international ones (mikkeller). Nothing too exciting but none the less nice to have. Beer prices were good, the bar is self-service (you have to walk up to the counter to get the beer). Maybe they have a second entrance, but the way we entered we had to walk through the smoking area, so you might get a bit smelly.

Overall recommended place, especially for Innsbruck / Tyrol. When I visited I had two beers, both were in good shape.“

“Tribaun is literally my favourite bar in the world! The beer selection is mind blowing and having so many choices makes for such an interesting night; it’s much more fun thinking about what you are going to drink next as apposed to simply ordering your standard tipple. My favourite beer that I have drank there is ’Padawan’ from a Tirolean brewery called ’Bierol’. I look forward to my next visit!“
