larsga (7693) - Oslo, - MAY 6, 2012
No head when finally served. Hazy opaque golden body. Fruity Belgian yeast aroma with pineapple notes. Dry-sweet vaguely funky pineapple taste with mealy spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish strawberry and kiwi aftertaste with resiny notes. Nice, subtle, and flavours well integrated. (0.25l draft at Popeye, Tokyo. Menu has it as "Swan Lake Belgian IPA Good", at 7%.)

jmgreenuk (19437) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAY 10, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2019 Tap at IBREW Akihabara, Tokyo. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, floral big hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a malt, gluey, smooth, floral, light metallic, big hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

jinroh (4531) - ESTONIA - FEB 2, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2019 Tap @ Furusatomatsuri (18.01.2018). Pours clean dark gold, clear. Soft nose with some candy sugar and fruity esters. Taste has medium bitterness, clean and definktely Belgian yeast character. Less sweet than usual, even dry in the background. Well made example of what I would imagine as Belgian IPA. Dry bitter herbal Belgian linger in the finish. Tasty.

Tap at CBM Kichijoji. Pear and apple aromas with some light pepper and citrus. Taste is slightly sweet with good citrus notes. Average carbonation with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Hoppy bitter finish, but not overly so, with a touch of pepper. Solid.

BuckeyeBoy (17589) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 6, 2015
On tap at Craft Beer Bar Marciero. Pours out a hazy golden topped with a small head. Nose is citrus heavy yeast and some spice. Taste is more of the yeast nice hop touch and a some spice.

Nocturne (4091) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2015
Tap at Swan Lake Pub Edo, Tokyo. Hazy orange/golden shade. White head, some lace. Slightly tropical, peach, fruity. Creamy and quite sweet taste but with some bitterness to balance that. Had no idea they were aiming for a Belgian IPA at the time but looking back it definitely worked out well.

3.9
GenkiGonzo (1092) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 16, 2015
Draught at Bungalow. Hazy gold colour, decent head. Funky yeast aroma with hops behind it. Bitter start and finish with nice yeast to balance it out.

Wombata (641) - Kobe, JAPAN - SEP 4, 2014
Tap at Marciero. This is a "Belgium" IPA. i.e. uses Belgium yeast I believe. Aroma: Orange and mikan, mikan blossom, pear, grain, light ginger note, Palate: Medium-Full bodied Flavor: Gentle mikan, pear, yeast, light-medium ginger bitterness that gains some intensity. Long grainy finish. Comment: Complete flavor and mouthfeel. A superb beer. 39+ points.

3.8
maekchu (5670) - JAPAN - APR 20, 2014
Draught at Yellow Ape Craft. Big fruity, yeasty nose, with pears and peaches. Hazy amber color. Well-hopped from the start, fermented fruit and such well-integrated bitterness. Medium body, great mouthfeel. As balanced as can be.

3.7
biirusaikou (2704) - - MAR 22, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2015 Quite a yeasty nose. Rich apricot character, marmelade, orange peel, biscuit malt, fruity hops, peppery yeast finish. The Belgian twist on a fruity IPA is quite interesting, almost feels like drinking down an apricot tart.
