Considering that Bucanero Fuerte is one of the best hidden treasures of Cuban beer, this connection is fitting. UPDATED: DEC 25, 2022 Das “Piratenbier“ Bucanero kommt in den Supermärkten in Kuba direkt nach dem meistverkauften Cristal. Oft in der Dose, selten in der braunen Flasche kann man den würzigen Malz riechen. Es kommt goldgelb und klar ins Glas mit feinporiger fingerdicker Schaumkrone, die sofort verschwindet. Beim Antrunk kernig wie ein Export, wenn auch leicht metallisch. Beim Abgang kaum wahrnehmbare Hopfenbitterkeit. Die Karbonität hätte ich mir stärker gewünscht -trotzdem ist es das beste Bier Kubas.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2022 bottle. Poured clear amber with a thin head. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Medium bodied, high carbonation, crisp mouthfeel. Flavour of pale malt, hint of rye, a bit metallic with some alcohol.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2022 Color naranja claro, sin turbiedad, transparente. Espuma blanca de un dedo de espesor y corta retención. Aroma escasísimo, maíz y poco más. Sabor medio escaso, cereal, maíz notas de hierba seca, azúcar y notas metálicas, final corto de dulzor azucarado medio, alcohol imperceptible. Textura acuosa. Carbonatación media.
