"What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. A superb fall seasonal (though it’s June). Nutmeg, all-spice done very harmoniously with some vanilla and pumpkin and honey flavors. Hands down, this brew covers a ridiculously high abv better than any beer I have ever had. I’d have guessed 7 or 8% before 16. The onlytell tale sign was a lack of head. No heat whatsoever. A delicious treat."

I really don’t understand how this doesn’t have a higher rating than it currently has. This mead smells incredible, with heavy honey and pumpkin notes. Tasted like the most delicious pumpkin bread you’ve ever had drizzled heavily with the best honey you’ve ever had. The ABV on this is 16% (yes, SIXTEEN) but it hides it so well that it’s an achievement in its own right. Alcohol taste was practically undetectable, which just absolutely blew my mind when I was tasting it (so yes, I was being blown away by both that and the taste at the same time, which made me a very happy man). Overall, this is absolutely incredible and I happily give it a full 20.

Bottle, in trade from Sammy-- thanks! Hazy bronze body, little indication of carbo in the pour, but not really viscous or sticky looking. Aroma took me by surprise-- really lovely pumpkin and spice and sweet cream, reminiscent of a fresh pumpkin tart topped with whip; a really appetizing nose. The palate opens with waxy honeycomb, sweet and a little sticky, with moderately heavy clove and allspice, pumpkin is more of a suggestion than a strong presence. I’m not normally a fan of braggot, but I really dug this!

Light orange pour. Light spice, pumpkin, honey, brown sugar. Pretty good overall.

12oz bottle pours with a pale murky gold body. The aroma is rich with honey sweet goodness where there are thin wafers of booze and muted pumpkin meat. The taste is just as rich as the nose led onto with smooth slick sweet honey yum that slips and slides on the palate. Behind that veil of honey goodness resides a mild pumpkin sensation that shows up toward the finish. Pumpkin could be more forward but somehow not at the expense of the delicious honey goodness going on here. Love it.

12oz bottle shared by someone after Jackie-O’s 8th Anniversary. Big, hot pumpkin and honey nose. Very nice potent smell. Lightly tart. Moderate to bigger sweet. Some hot heat and burn. Clear golden color. No head or lace. Bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Fantastic stuff. Gets better as it goes.
