COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Let’s face it – we love big, flavorful stouts. As luck would have it, our friend Jeppe at Evil Twin Brewing feels the same way. We decided to brew a beer together that took elements from our favorite stouts we each produce to come together as one beer. Bible Belt takes elements we love from Prairie Bomb! and combines them with Evil Twin Brewing’s world famous stout, Even More Jesus. The end result is a smoky, spicy stout that is sure to please the pallet.

DraftDodger (7618) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2023
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2023 Copenhagen 5/6 2023. 35,5 cl bottle from DrikBeer web-shop. Nice hand drawn label with small family portraits of the good people behind this beer. Pours opaque dark brown with no head at all. A bit of foam hastily disappearing right after pouring. No lacing. Aroma is intense with a sweet candy-like scent of all good and swwet things. Earthy notes. Milk chocolate, brown sugar, cocoa, coffee with milk and sugar. Light whiffed of chili. Stale tobacco. Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, almost flat and a little sticky texture. Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is kind off bitter with a light searing chili streak. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry with a light burn. Not exactly pretty but a beautiful fusion of Bomb! and Even more Jesus.

Metalchopz (7130) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 16, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2021 Pours a real dark brown, kind of black colour without any highlights. The head is small, mocha-coloured with hardly any retention and leaving a thin ring around the brew. The spices are felt in the nose with some coffee, light alcohol warmth and a roasted malt base. In the mouth, it is quite smooth. Not too rich. Not really thick. The spiciness helps the warming of this strong brew, but all well-balanced mildly. The coffee notes comes out lightly in the finish, lingering. Even cacao. What I thought was a weak start, just builds up nicely. Liking this.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2021 Bottle from the long gone Kris Wines. Opaque very dark brown to black, no head. Nose is rich deep dark chocolate, slightly milky black coffee, ground bitter coffee beans, touch of vanilla, vegetal chilli, roasted malt. Taste is sweet dark chocolate, milky coffee, bitter roasted malt and coffee grounds, touch of vegetal chilli which builds into the finish, black sugar, slight dried fruit but it’s mainly big choc.

DerWeg (2175) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 10, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2021 Bottle from LCBO, chance find! Pours a very dark brown, little head. Taste offers rich chocolate and mocha and touch of umami soy, the roast is tempered by the deep malt sweetness and dry black fruit. Initially I wondered if some barrel treatment because it seemed so 'hot.' Oh there's actually peppers contributing some woody and herbal-phenolic qualities, plus slight chilis greenness and heat - this works nice against the alcohol warmth and the concentrated chocolate-dark-fruit and toffee sweetness. Almost a chocolate cake with a touch of real fresh green chillies sneaked in the icing. It's hard to mess up with all these great elements. Aroma is like taste plus some pleasant bready and clean farm notes, really nice smelling brew.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2021 (Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, cacao, butterscotch, coffee, vanilla, black rye bread, peppers and raisins. Malty, roasted taste with cacao, toffee, coffee, vanilla, black rye bread, raisins, prunes and a mild chilli heat in a finish with a balanced cacao bitterness. Full body, sweet. A bit sweet and sticky, but really tasty with lots of chocolate and a mild touch of chilli. Very nice.
