UPDATED: FEB 15, 2019 Bottle split at L6, thanks to LKS, 07/02/19. Very lightly hazed amber with a well presented beige cap. Nose is sweet malts, caramel, dusty fruits, cereals, raisins. Taste comprises toffee, residual sugars, booze kiss, brown bread, dark fruit esters, malt balls. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost to ride upon. Solid for the style.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2019 Bottle shared in London - picked up at a bottle shop around town, I think, maybe Utobeer. Pours mostly clear copper with a foamy, off-white head. Rich malty character, some toffee, berries, a little piney hop character. Medium to full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Sticky sweet finish, more piney notes, caramel, lightly toasted bread. Quite enjoyable.

Nocturne (4091) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - DEC 30, 2017
330ml bottle. Hazy orange shade. White head. Very red fruity aroma. Big candied orange. Little grassy. Caramel malty. All that in the taste. Probably as good as malt liquor will get.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, brown-ish, dark amber colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, doughy, malty basis with hints of pound cake, candied lemon peel, candied orange peel. Taste is citrusy hoppy and doughy, sweet-ish malty, notes of pound cake again, candied lemon and orange peel; creamy, almost viscid texture, smooth and soft palate, gentle carbonation. Excellent mouthfeel, very interesting stuff.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Brum. Scented floral aroma, with boozy stewed fruit tone. Turkish Delight comes to mind.Light chestnut. Fluffy off-white head, although it does recede. There’s some sweetness in there, but a bitterness takes over. That’s stewed fruit, raisins and booze, linking into the aroma. Medium bodied. Some slickness. Fizzy carbonation. Abrupt finish. Leaves a dry feeling in the mouth. Warming. Wasn’t sure what to expect from this - makes me think of a barley wine or similar. Not bad.

Bottles (three). The following is a compilation of a dozen peoples’ thoughts who shared this brew with me at my first (and perhaps last?) Malt Liquor Dexterity Games Tournament to celebrate my birthday. Keeping in mind that most of the participants are not regular beer raters, here we go: dark amber body, sweet sponge toffee, light marmalade, sticky and doughy, no hint of the ABV, actually very tasty regardless of the style, barleywinish, sweet fruity malty muddy, english hops?, sweetness gets cloying, spicy notes, Dave from Wendy’s first, not horrible but a little flat, surprisingly I enjoyed this, great flavour and scent, caramel soft nice, sweet and strong and deep and dark, makes my mouth malty, pretty smooth for a malt.

Habanero (6000) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK - APR 10, 2016
Bottled. Pours hazy amber with an average off-white head. Aroma of citrus notes, grass and a little caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and decent bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A nice brew. 🌟🌟🌟
