Inbreak (9950) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - NOV 25, 201801.11.2014, sample from a 2l growler @ What's Brewing:
Small light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, puffed rice, roasted grain, roasted coffee, cocoa, hay, burnt caramel, dark malts, dark sugar. Taste is dry roasted, burnt caramel, roasted grain, roasted coffee, cocoa, minerals, alcohol, paper, oak, grass, ashes. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough, a little disappointing...
Bov (14982) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 13, 2018courtesy of Per - black beer with a dark beige foam left; solid roasted aroma of black chocolate, coffee beans and tobacco; sweet malt backbone; full-bodied, grainy and solidly bitter; aftertaste of roasted chocolate, molasses, Bourbon and vanilla; some warming alcohol presence

MartinT (10697) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017My Bottom Line:
Toasted oak, roasted cereals and oatmeal cookies meld in this silky sipper.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the dark brown.
-Alcohol heat is just present enough to cut through some of the residual sugars.
-Mouthfeel is luxurious.
-Carbonation is soft enough to let the malt express themselves properly.
Bottle. Thx Per!
Oakes (30657) - Richmond, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 18, 2017Dark brown. Not a lot of head. Quite a bit of heavy toasty oak on the nose, alongside fudgey chocolate notes. Sweet taste, hazelnut, chocolate. The finish is balanced, and the alcohol shows through only in a bit of late warmth. A bit of richness but the age might have knocked the sugars down a touch.
omhper (40214) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 10, 2017Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black, small beige head. Coconut, chocolate, coffee and bourbon up front. Sweet with full body and soft mouthfeel. Rich on coffee, port, salmiak and molasses, warming bourbon finish. Rich and harmonious.
angelkostvo (1249) - CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 2, 2017Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of the barrel, vanilla, cocoa, candy, coffee, cream. Taste is light to medium sweet, again barrel flavours dominate. Medium body, smooth creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very good.
