Heavy Seas Small Craft Warning Über Pils

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arguably our most well-balanced beer, Small Craft Warning seems at once hop-forward and malt-forward; our brewers debate over which flavor force prevails in the beer. Small Craft exemplifies a robust pilsner - it's crisp, well-carbonated, and slightly sweet. The beer is characterized by a firm malt backbone and a pronounced hop character. A fine aroma, from an array of hops, completes this quaffable beer.

Gyllengul öl med ett lätt vitt skum, som försvinner ganska snabbt. Doft och smak är maltig med fruktighet och inslag av karamell. Balanserad humlebeska.

On tap. Pours a clear golden color with a small soapy white head. Mouthfeel is thin and comes across watery despite the carbonation. Hops are muted and somehwhat off balance. This one didn’t agree with me.

Getting more and more interesting. It was very nice and soft to drink. Not so cold and very nice shape.

Muddy orange. Nose is biscuits and some fruit. Tastes of overripe oranges, bready, biscuits, crackers, some hay, and nutty kind of. Chewy mouthfeel. Slightly hot.

From tap pour. Small head. Cloudy, opaque gold appearance. Very hoppy for a Pilsner. Fantastic clean but biting taste. Claimed IBU of 35 on the beer menu at this bar seems low. I favor a high IBU beer and this seems to satisfy amazingly well. This is an awesome Pilsner for perhaps IPA fans.

355 ml bottle. Pours a golden amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma is pine, malts, floral hops. Taste is similar, plus hibiscus. Decent beer.

Bottle. Amber w thin head. Lovely floral aroma when first poured. Does not hang around long though. A touch bitter on the front then moving to a hint of tartness before mellowing to sweeter malt associated w the higher alcohol. Taste is floral malty w a hint of pine and softer lemony citrus notes at the end. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Decent malty ale. Palate is a bit dry and spicy, but flavor is nice and relatively full, several malty classic flavors.

Definite summer beer. Fruity hoppy but balanced. Alcohol is very well hidden here. Nasty aftertaste. Feel like I ate an orange peel. Higher rating if the first half of this beer was as good as the second. Probably the alcohol talking there. Weak buzz after one of these.
