COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IMPERIAL PALE ALE is a strong beer with 10% abv. Despite a dominating hoppy flavor our beer remains easily drinkable thanks to its high fermentation. We strongly believe that there will be more future trades sealed with a bottle of Dutch Bargain on the table!

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - hazy reddish-brown beer with a firm beige head; aroma of caramel and prunes; creamy and velvety palate; full-bodied, sweet; aftertaste of candy sugar, prunes and molasses

Bottle 33cl. Red with a beige head. Malty aroma. Guess my mistake was that the "I" in this beer stands for Imperial. Expected a hoppy aroma. Very rich full bodied beer. You taste the high alcohol and sense the bitter finish. Beside this, not spectacular.

Hazy orange to amber colour with a small offwhite head. Smells sweet and malts. Tastes very sweet, malts. Way too sweet without any depth. Full body, soft carbo.

Huge, dense amberish-cream head over hazy amber beer with a faint mossy sheen. Banana, caramel, cakebottom. Bit of preserved fruit, but as to hops... Sweet caramel, toffee, and again banana. Finish has some bitterness, indifferent, vegetal. Fruitpeel, if hard to say what fruit. Very syrupy MF, viscous. Medium carbonation. Leaves a sticky sensation. OK, I concede - it does NOT say India, it says Imperial Pale ale (and neither did I know that Groede is located in Holland!). OTOH, the sahibs on the label look very Deccan. Whatever - WHERE ARE THOSE HOPS???! 5/4/6/3/12

Bierfeesten Arcen. Amber/koperkleurig. Smaakt zoet met een onaangename bitter zure medicinale afdronk. Ruikt licht moutig .

33cl bottle at home from Slijterij/wijnhandel Van Diemen, Laren. Nose is fruity malty. Body is clear deep amber red, head is small, beige, frothy, mostly, good lacing. Aroma is honey, molasses, fruits, strawberry, dextrose. Heavy sweet, light bitter, medium fruity sour. Finish is long lasting fruity medium bittersweet, light fruity sour, medium alcohol flavor and warmth. Full body, sticky texture, medium carbonation. Quite heavy, not well balanced, too sweet, too much alcohol flavor, quite much like a tripel than IPA, not bad though.

33cl bottle shared at home. Hazy dark orange with a medium slightly off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with subtle bitter tones. Caramel, malts and tropical fruits. Missed the usual IIPA bitterness, overall still OK.

Sweet (malts, raisins), spicy. Full bodied and a little complex. A little too sweet for my tastes, but otherwise a good beer.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2017) Dark amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty nose with caramel, dark fruit and hay. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of dried fruit, caramel, resin and a balanced citric bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, but a bit boozy. Quite nice.
