UPDATED: DEC 28, 2022 Sample (thanks fonefan!). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, some aloe vera, mild alcohol with some grainy tones too. Flavour is grainy, grassy, herbal, alcoholic and some slight fruity elements to it as well. Smooth to drink, although very warming. Nicely bodied.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2022 0,33 l Flasche. Braunes Bier, stabiler, cremeweißer Schaum, schöne Gardine. Riecht nach Schwarzbrot, schmeckt dann auch so, belegt mit Honig, mit leicht alkoholisch, schön vollmundig.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2022 Donker amberkleurig koperkleurig bier met een licht beige volle schuimkraag. Moutzoet, caramel, honing. Zacht in de mond. Alcohol proef je niet, maar voel je wel. Een beetje zoethoutsmaak.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2022 Colore giallo dorato; cappello di schiuma alto e persistente. Aroma fruttato, soprattutto mandarino, e erbaceo; il sapore ha una certa complessità: attacco caratterizzato dall'amaro del luppolo, poi asprigno e leggermente dolciastro. Il finale è secco... e chiama subito un altro sorso!

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2021 --Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Clear ruby colour, minimal head. Aroma of toffee and pear brandy. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Huge toffee flavour, some pear and banana. Peppery warming finish.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2021 Copenhagen 27/7 2021. 33 cl can from Brygshoppen web-shop. Old photo of guys with turbans and uniforms looking ready for action. The usual Dutch Bargain stamp in blue. Pours slightly unclear copper brown with a small white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Not a very pale ale. No lacing. Aroma is intense with a sweet, boozy, malty odor mingling with fermented fruit. Sweet pale malts, caramel, hints of toffee. Fermented apricots and plums. Sweet, sweet liqueur. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling and a little sticky texture. Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a thin, moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet bordering on sugary. Lingering. Finish is sweet with a strong presence of alcohol. Quite on the sweet and boozy side - even for a Barley Wine.
