bigcat03 (753) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - JUN 6, 2023UPDATED: JUN 6, 2023 Straight from the can. Initial taste is cloves, banana, wheat. Fades to wheat. Light body and active carbonation. Nice! 7-3-7-3-13
patrick767 (6451) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 17, 2022UPDATED: JUN 17, 2022 Pours hazy and pale with a lingering white head. Aroma is clove, wheat and a little citrus. The flavor is spicy with clove and wheat malt. A little hops. Pretty good hefe.
BenDover (480) - League City, Texas, USA - MAY 31, 2022UPDATED: MAY 31, 2022 Pours a hazy yellow-orange. Big head of dense foam, fizzy and course at first, but collapses to a very fine meringue-like head that stays around a while. Aroma is yeasty and grassy. Taste is the same plus some banana and a bit of citrus fruit. A bit on the bland side but pretty good.
BeerBeanMachine (8) - Phoenix, USA - FEB 5, 2022 does not count UPDATED: FEB 5, 2022 Quintessential Hef. It is sour, complex and filling. There is a citrus kick to it with a banana finish. If you like Hef’s you’ll enjoy this one.
BarrelStein64 (1) - - OCT 24, 2021 does not count UPDATED: OCT 24, 2021 Had this for the first time at Vinney's in Friday Harbor. Love Hefe's but always had the Pyramid brand. This is a lot lighter and easier to gulp several. I love the lable, it is laid back and soft rather than glaring hollywood. Flavor? At 8 bucks a bottle at Vinney's had 6 of them...Must be good then eh? Problem; how do we order on line?
McGarnigle (774) - Rochester, New York, USA - AUG 9, 2021UPDATED: AUG 9, 2021 6-pack of bottles. The starts strong: hazy, good head, banana and Bubble Yum. But it doesn't follow through. My favorite German hefes feel smoother on the tongue and have a better aftertaste. By the end of this one, it feels more like a bland mass wheat.
mrjaxson (1146) - .08 Junction, WI, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 18, 2021UPDATED: JUN 18, 2021 Rock-solid hefeweizen that checks all the boxes for the style (especially that wheat bready, yeasty, bananany aroma). Juicy, spicy sweet finish. From a 12-oz bottle best consumed by 08/28/21.
Spelt (245) - Gas City, Indiana, USA - MAY 3, 2021UPDATED: MAY 3, 2021 This is a thickly cloudy yellow beer with a pillowy white head. Breast aroma. Sweeter beer but not with much of the estery flavors claimed for the yeast strain. Very drinkable but not terribly complex hefe.
PilsnerTaps34 (1) - - AUG 31, 2019 does not count UPDATED: AUG 31, 2019 This is probably the worst beer I've had in awhile. It even describes the flavor as bubblegum which is right. Why would you want bubblegum flavored beer!?🤮
