hauxe (4020) - Butzbach, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2018
Pours dark brown from the bottle. The tan head fades away. Aroma is rich with chocolate. Hints of unripe plum in the background. Taste is bittersweet to sweet up front, full of chocolate and roasted grains. The roasted flavors dominate the finish. Body is fairly light, a touch too light, carbonation is mild. Overall not bad, a bit more chewiness on the palate would give this one a much higher rating.

Tap. Brown color with amber highlight. Aroma is milk chocolate, earthy, fudge, vanilla. Taste is milk chocolate, earthy, sweetish, a bit dusty. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Ok.

Bov (14982) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 17, 2017
from Erzbierschof - almost black beer with a solid long lasting creamy beige foam; roasted aroma of mocha and nuts; quite highly carbonated, sweet malt backbone and with a late solid earthy bitterness; quite dry and very roasted coffeish finish with notes of chestnuts

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours dark brown. Strong coffee aroma, roasty and a little bread. Surprisingly light body, smooth without falling off. Lingering coffee on the palate. Very nice
