Hermod (8250) - Vantaa, FINLAND - OCT 21, 2017
33cl bottle. Poured pitch black with a thin brown head. Strong vanilla notes, roastedness, sweetness and maple notes. Overly sweet, maple and vanilla dominates. Nice sipper but too sweet for me to be really drinkable. In small doses nice

MarcoDL (5306) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 20, 2017
Bottle. Thick black oily pour. Strong aroma of maple, vanilla, oat, chocolate, mocha, coffee and caramel fudge. Taste has lots of maple, caramel fudge, vanilla, mocha, chocolate, roasted coffee, cacao and a long rich finish. This beer is insanely flavorful and outright delicious.

0,33l bottle. Pitch black pour with a dark tan head. Tons of maple here, bitter roasted malts, faint vanilla and some milk chocolate. Awesome if you like maple. I do!

Pours pitch black, thick with tan / mocha head. Huuuge aroma of maple, vanilla, bitter chocolate Taste is thick, sweet maple, coffee, fudge, little smoke, this one screams breakfast. Can't wait for a barrel version.

DonGregorio (516) - POLAND - OCT 18, 2017
Bottle. Pitch black beer with small brown head. Aroma of maple syrup, strong coffee, espresso, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, espresso, maple syrup, light cocoa and vanilla. Strong coffee, chocolate and warming alcohol in the finish. Quite full bodied, with oily texture and soft carbonation. Another great beer in this series - good depth and outstanding balance between flavours in taste. Awesome.

OK! It is fantastic. Smells really nice, it is geeky. The aroma is creamy, choco, coffee, vanilla, ice cream, maple, bourbon, tiramisu, pina colada... But I think i miss something in this beer. It was not such a satisfaction like with other imperial stouts. When you first drink it, something fades with this beer, I dunno, maybe the aroma or something in the taste. When we opened it, the room started to smell. Everyone knew: WE OPENED A BEER. It is a little bit like a dessert beer, it is sweet. What I need more is the aggressiveness of that style. We just expect too much, our palates changing...

Great head. Lots of maple, chocoloate but not roasty, bit noticable alcohol.

Inbreak (6412) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - OCT 15, 2017
15.10.2017, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice brown bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and sweet, dark sugar, minerals, maple syrup, dark malts, grass, vanilla, salty licorice, toast, espresso, alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet and sour-ish roasted, espresso, roasted grain, dark sugar, vanilla, maple syrup, alcohol, grass, burnt toast, licorice, bark, minerals, caramel, old rope. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry roasted mouthfeel. Nice.
