Opaque colour, small steady brownish head. Toasted sweet licorice aroma. Medium-bodied. Very sweet (lactose), lots of licorice, licorice root in the flavour. Ok.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate and lots of sweet licorice. Taste is heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long licorice and chocolate finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2019 Bottle. It pours an unclear dark reddish brown body under a small beige head. The aroma was pleasant but surprisingly weak, with licorice, roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark dried fruits and some alcohol. It's full-bodied, smooth and with a pleasant carbonation. Licorice, roasted malts, dark chocolate, prunes and a touch of alcohol. A hoppy, bitter touch in the back. Lasting finish with a good mix of licorice and dark malts. Nice indeed. 190406

UPDATED: APR 3, 2019 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.2%. Black colour, medium beige head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts and liquorice, hints of mild coffee and lactose. Medium sweet flavour with distinct notes of liquorice and lactose (a bit too much of both), on a background of lightly roasted malts and mild coffee. Moderate hops. Not bad, but not perfectly balanced.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2019 Bottle 33cl. Black with a minimal light brown head. Sweet malt aroma with liquorice sense. Sweet with a load of liquorice(ish) end, almost too much.
