UPDATED: DEC 16, 2020 Bottle. A- Plum, mild charred leaves. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Plums, subtle tang, nesquik powder, molasses, subtle umami. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly tart finish. O- This is clearly highly rated and so I wasn't going to get it but then did based upon those rates. Had never heard of it before picking it up. Lovely plums that protrude with a slightly salty and subtle tangy flavor. A lot of flavors going on really. Don't know if I totally buy the hype but still very tasty.

gripweed57 (7499) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUL 28, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2019 12 ounce bottle. Opaque dark brown pour.msmall creamy tan cap. Rich roasted malt aroma is reminiscent of prune and Worcestershire sauce. First sip has notes of soy sauce and roasted portobello mushrooms. Subtle notes of licorice, balsamic vinegar and plums. Medium bodied as you would expect for a Baltic Porter. Complexity grows as brew warms. Outstanding!

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2019 Bot. 2014 vintage
Aroma: not super complex but with neat depth, coffee, soy sauce, alcohol, and coffee.
Look: poured dark brown, smallish tanned ring on glass of foam.
Palate: full bodied, smooth, creamy, slight side astringency. Taste: soy with mix of dark chocolate and coffee. Perhaps a bit past its prime. Old school feel.

onceblind (18779) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 19, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 19, 2019 Black hue with a thin light beige cap. Nose has a light touch of soy sauce, soft German pretzel, dark roasty malts, a kiss of licorice and a semisweet touch of earthy cocoa. Smooth flavor that’s got some cocoa and licorice and anise and dark malty roasty slickness. Kinda weird and all over but full, slick, and a little boozy.
