UPDATED: DEC 7, 2018 @Bacon Beer Day - cloudy brown beer with a moderate head retention; aroma of Bourbon, wood, caramel and vanilla; full-bodied, creamy palate, fairly bitter; aftertaste of vanilla, wood, Bourbon and cherries, well-integrated alcohol
From tap at Craft Beer Festival Thun 2018. Dark mahogany color with a tan colored head. Aroma of sweet malt, toffee, marzipan, light caramel, some spices, nuts, hints of smoke, some dark fruits. Full body with a light to medium sweetness and a light to medium bitterness, some booze - well balanced. The flavor is similar to the smell with the alcohol being more present - brown sugar, honey, dark fruits, raisins, some marzipan, lightly smokey. Pretty good but not exceptional - I expected more bacon and particularly more bourbon.
