COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Stout Brewed with Lactose Coffee & Vanilla. The "i" might be in lower case, but beware - this is a capital beer. Brimming with luscious roasted coffee and chocolate malt flavours drizzled over a scoop of velvety ice cream. iStout Affogato is balanced by a brisk bitterness and bold hoppy freshness, remixed by the addition of lactose, coffee, and vanilla in the brew. As with all our beers, this beer is a very modern interpretation of this classic style. (from label)

Beese (17347) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2024
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2024 440ml can from We Brought Beer, Tooting. Pitch black with a brown head. Nose of fudge, vanilla pod, liquorice and burnt sugar. Super smooth. It’s got big flavour and depth, but it is really, really quaffable for 10%. I get the vanilla. I wouldn’t say coffee leaps out more than would be expected for a roasty Impy, but it’s a very nice, if quite dangerous stout.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2023 Canned (Alko Web). Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, some lactose, mild vanilla and also some alcohol sweetness. Flavour is roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dried fruits, mild ashes and some toffee as well. Very dark chocolate in the aftertaste.

jjsint (7753) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2023
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2023 440ml can as part of a delivery from New Zealand Beer Collective and drunk at home. Blacker than black and viscous with a small ring of khaki head. Massive aroma of vanilla-laden caramel, espresso beans and maybe a tiny bit of liquorice. Taste is so, so sweet, like cold oversugared coffee (but still somehow really amazing) and some light toasty bitterness in the finish. Full, full body with light carbonation. Works incredibly well.
