UPDATED: OCT 5, 2023 Low key label, simple design. Line drawing of the three hills. Clear golden, lot of carbonation going on, still softish feel dans la bouche. Pillowy, white head. Nice retention. Strong malty, flowery, sweet taste.Pears. Lots of pears. Boozy undertow dominates. Hmm not bad but not super special either. As it warms and booze takes over, complexities of taste emerge. But I'm too tired to note them all. Pricewise decent for a blond at ABV 8.5%. But strong stuff, a bottle creeps up on ya🤣. You don't need nowt else...😺 75cl corked bottle from Maruhns Pfungstadt.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2023 750ml corked bottle. Pours a clear gold with a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick curtains of lace. Mild aroma of slightly toasted pale malt, yeast, pear, floral hops and faint oak. Sweet flavour of bready pale malt, honey, lemon, pear, yeast, white wine, spicy hops and faint oak in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average to soft carbonation. Surprised at some of the low ratings. I found this to be tasty and slightly complex. ABV is well hidden, making it dangerously easy to drink.
