UPDATED: AUG 16, 2020 GBBF, Earl’s Court on 05/08/2010. An absolutely smashing imperial stout, with so much oaky, leather, whisky and roasted malt aroma. Smooth AF, and big, complex bitter and subtly sweet flavours.

weihenweizen (6991) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - DEC 7, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2018 Refrigerated 18 cL 2009 green 785 bottle (smallest bottle I have seen) with red wax via RobertDale, poured into a snifter. Black with small light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, medium/thick body, very little carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is chocolate, oak, and coffee. Probably past it’s prime, but glad to have tried it.

dorain (2484) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 8, 2018

Nische (4602) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 27, 2018
Bottle at home. Dark brown with small, beige head. Red grapes, cherries, highly vinous, some dark toffee and chocolate. Slightly farty.

czar (14997) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 28, 2017
pours unclear medium dark brown with a small beige cap offering some retention and lacing. roasted grapes, bitter milk chocolate, winey barrels - bourbon aura; peppery cherries, slightly overdone fruits soaked in madeira, dark toffee mixture, lots of spices, warming peppery alcohol although integrated. moderately low carbonation, medium body - oily; semi-sweet woody finish. it did age well if a maderized imperial porter is your thing - lots of fruit with a fun wine character as well.

4.2
Lubiere (22783) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 25, 2017
A deep dark imperial stout with a thin big bubbled brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light vinous notes, bourbon barrel, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with light bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, light treacle, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. Bottle from Pushkinwow.
