COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kasteel Rouge is a blend of Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor. The mix of these two excellent products creates an exceptional soft beer with references to the dark mother beer.

Fin (14200) - Attenkirchen, GERMANY - MAR 4, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2021 Bottle at home, picked up from Saveur-Biere, Lille, France and consumed at home after my @beerwithnat beer school lesson on Thursday 4th March 2021. Big foamy light pinky/white head, fruity nose clearly cherry, but more cherry syrup. In the mouth it is a little like spreading jam on toast, the cherry flavours are tempered by malt, a little nuttiness, but it is a touch more tart and tangier than expected, in fact it is an enjoyable beer, reminds me a little bit of Tunes * This was a UK sweet that you had for a blocked nose, sore throat, I guess it was a bit like a cherry menthol. This is a far better beer than I expected it to be.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2021 Fresh fruity but also sour and unnatural perfume. Reminds me of a quality 5 dollar lambrusco just as beer. But I weirdly like it.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2021 Backlog January 2010. Deep red body with a pink head. Aroma of cherry, almond and Amaretto. Taste is sweet cherry, cherry juice and some almond. Medium body and sweet cherry aftertaste as well. Too sweet and one dimensional for my likings.

caribou43 (2233) - Lausanne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 3, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2021 I have found this bottle, at the place de l'Aligre, at Paris. Opening this bottle, yesterday, at Bonfol, after a nice walk, at the Franches-Montagnes. Red body, troubled, sparkling carbonation, thin and white foam. Personally, this beer is not bad, sensation of some chemical ingredients, sensation of red carrot juice, malty, sweet, juice of cherry or natural, not so sure, normal hop at the final, a bit disgusting, sugar

sebastien_decuyper (1) - - NOV 21, 2020 does not count
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2020 Very solid red beer. Sweet fruity taste but not too sweet. Good lasting after taste. Preferable a summer beer but enjoyable in colder days as well.
