DraftDodger (7710) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2024
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2024 Kirchwerder 11/5 2025. 50 cl bottle from Rewe, Süderquerweg, Hamburg. Black label with a golden rim. Miniature golden soldier enjoying a beer. Pours clear dark mahogany with s big off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, lightly toasted odor with a touch of brown sugar. Sourish notes. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Finish is rather dry. Schwarzbier a bit to the bitter side.

bmorowy (975) - POLAND - APR 29, 2023
UPDATED: APR 29, 2023 Barwa ciemnobrązowa, z obfitą drobnopęcherzykową pianą. W aromacie niestety głównie nuty metaliczne. W smaku wytrawne, płytkie, wodniste, delikatnie karmelowe. W posmaku niska i krótka ziołowa goryczka.

Cthulhu (1318) - MARSHALL ISLANDS - APR 4, 2023

one51 (2119) - - FEB 11, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2023 Bottle from a Getränkemarkt in Leipzig. The name sounds suspicious in today's overly PC culture but what can you say, it's a black colored beer. Ok actually dark brown as I pour it, moderate head. Slightly roasted nose with some malty hints, nothing astounding. Flavor is a wee bit nutty, slightly flat-tasting mineral maltiness. It's alright but I'm missing the hook.

tontalus (1842) - - DEC 30, 2022

DijkBier (3412) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 21, 2022
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2022 Bottle in Germany. Almost ruby dark-brown pour with a tan head; good retention. Aroma is very faint; hardly any at all. Taste is soft sweet, mild bitter, but very general. OK carbo. The good thing is that this beer is not too sweet, the problem is that it has hardly any specific or characteristic. A rather useless beer that one could hardly call a schwarz....

dunklermessias (3104) - GERMANY - JUN 28, 2022

rauchbierlover (3459) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUN 20, 2021
UPDATED: JUN 20, 2021 Dark copper/light brown body with light ruby shades and a minimal, but persistent off-white head. Aroma is coffee, nutty. taste is grassy over a nice malty, roasty and nutty background. Mild herbal finish. Low body, average carbonation, thin texture.
