ads135	2.6 Eskes Irish Red Tried for the first time in 2008 and only now getting to the ratings transfer. Reddish brown appearance, thin bodied and very malty. Some caramel, some cardboard, and a musty finish. Monday, November 6, 2017

Slipstream	3.5 Eskes Taos Green Chile Beer On draft at the brewpub. Light aroma of pear and flowers. Starts out watery and a little citrusy, then the scovils begin to kick in and spread around the palate. Good stuff. Monday, June 1, 2015

Slipstream	3.6 Eskes Why Rye On tap at Eske’s. Unexpectedly fruity aroma on this. Dash of rye in there, but this is surprisingly soft and Belgian-like for the style. Good one. Friday, May 8, 2015

zdk	3 Eskes Dead Presidents Cherry Delight tap at the brew pub - not a big fan of fruit beers. This one has an old ale base and so it actually does a decent job of blending dark, sticky caramel, raisin and prune dark fruit malts with tangy sour cherry syrup. But actually wanted more sour cherry on this. Got some light raspberry notes. Finishes sticky and lingering malted sweetness. Sunday, February 17, 2013
zdk	3.7 Eskes Black Cat tap at the brewpub - nose is yeasty and crackery with a touch of roasted malts and raisins. Lager yeast come through on the palate with a great chocolate, roasted malts character with a dry, earthy yeast note with a touch of sulfur. Warm chocolate notes at the finish. Beerathon	3.3 Eskes Taos Green Chile Beer This is the 3rd chile beer I’ve tried, and only gave it a chance because it was a free sample. Thank goodness I did give it a taste because it proved to me this style can be rewarding. Strykzone	3.1 Eskes Taos Green Chile Beer A friend brought this bomber at the brewpub. We shared it. Dingly and cloudy golden with sediment in the bottom of the bottle. The nose is green peppers and that is also the taste. Decent malt, too, but subtleties are difficult to pick out through the peppers. They are warm but not over powering. A decent version. Cavie	2.6 Eskes Blonde Betty Tap at the pub. Pours a clear golden yellow color. Light white head. Aroma is crisp, grainy, light citrus. Bit of hop nose. Flavor is dry and grainy with a slight soapy flavor. Finishes dry and soapy. Thursday, December 22, 2011
Cavie	2.7 Eskes Taos Green Chile Beer Tap at the pub. This beer pours a clear light yellow to straw color. Has a very small amount of white head. Very little. Aroma is sweet, grainy, with maybe a bit of spice. Hard to pick out on the aroma. Flavor is dry grains, a touch of popcorn with the chili spice and heat on the finish. I’m pretty sure there might be a touch of diacetyl in this but the spice covers up a lot. Thursday, December 22, 2011
Cavie	3.7 Eskes Oat Cole Porter Tap at the pub. Pours a dark brown color that shows ruby hues when held to the light. Light ring of beige colored head. Aroma is very chocolatey, roasted malts and dark sweet sugar. Flavor is dark malts, big roast, light bakers chocolate and perhaps a hint of coffee? Has a pseudo sweetener finish. Cavie	1.8 Eskes Artist Ale Tap at the pub. Pours a cloudy golden banana color with a light layer of bubbles. Aroma is fairly light. Some yeasty notes with berry fruit. Not much there. Beershine	3.2 Eskes Mesa Pale Ale Draft at the brewpub. Has a nice warm golden haze with thin but even lacing. The Amarillo hops are not yet coming through probably because of how cold the beer is. But the flavors finish with a lovely honey character that is intriguing. Smells very resinous. Tastes so too. Some lemon zest. And Starbucks level pastry crust. OK but where’s the Amarillo?
