Specialty Grain - Rye / Roggenbier

The Rye Beer is a catch-all style for beers enhanced by or featuring the character of added Rye grains. This includes the traditional Roggenbier, a dunkelweizen-like beer made with rye rather than wheat, but with a greater body and light finishing hops. Note that if the rye grain is a minor addition and does not provide a noticeable distinguishable character to the beer, it should go in the base style of the beer. Also, popular Rye styles such as Pale Ales and IPAs have their own substyle entry on the style list.
