Just noticed the new release of this has been given a new entry. Is it different from the last relesse?

It’s not been verified so who knows.

shouldn’t be a new entry, same beer whisky cask has changed but not openly advertised, not vintage dated though obviously in new bigger bottle

I do think the new bottles are vintage dated. The blog post on their website mentions as such.

I have one here and it says "Annual Release 2013" on the back.

Did you look at Magic Rock’s website? They aren’t exactly hiding this information: http://www.magicrockbrewing.com/blog/bourbon-barrel-bearded-lady-2013/

i know that but its all about ability to identify at Point of sale, and change of recipe. only change seems to be different barrel used and as its not specified on bottle it may not be sufficient to separate out the listings

No reason to separate barrel listings unless marketed as such. For example 50/50 eclipse.

It doesn’t say anything about the barrel.

What barrel was it for the 2012? I don’t see that anywhere. Different barrel may be different listing. Depends. Identification shouldn’t be too much of as problem. Most people can tell the difference between a 660ml bottle and 330ml bottle.
