88 Have visited a number of times before moving to San Diego and a handful of times since.
Small bottle shop in Normal Heights. A short walk from Blind Lady Ale House if you want to get a two-for-one. Street parking available, though depending on the time of day it can be a bit crowded.
The shop does wine, cider, mead, and beer. The beers are pretty much all kept in the coolers, which is nice. They have a solid selection here, though not as large as some place like BevMo or Total Wine, but the options here are much better. You'll get stuff from McIlhenney, North Park, and any of the other good SoCal breweries that distribute (and some that normally don't). A few import gems as well.
Solid pricing, selection, and staff. Definitely one of the better options in San Diego. |
68 Small store with average selection but of higher end choice with less regular stuff for tick hunters. Solid service. You can park on the street. Lacking |

88 Based on web orders. The software is up and running well. Shipping is fast. Help available if needed. The beer list is getting more and more impressive. Miss SBD, but this new thing is working out well. Live visit - good selection- all in coolers without lighting - a must stop |
86 Pretty awesome shop, with a wide selection of beers, ciders, and meads (and wine if you care). Thoughtfully organized and a very pleasant place to bottle-shop. One of the best shops in town. |
84 Great shop a block from BLAH, so you’ll have the same parking challenges. Once you’re inside, though, the selection is very large, and mostly in coolers. Interesting mead, cider and sake as well. Helpful friendly staff. Great place. |
86 Excellent SD bottle shop, selection is absolutely crazy but overall number of bottles is not very high. Numerous belgian rarities and quite a lot of American whales are hiding in the fridges. Unusually good selection of American meads, quite a lot of American sours as well. Prices for bottles are obviously on the high side as the ones we were interested in were quite rare but it’s certainly not outside of the norm. |
80 This small store is located in the hipster area near Blind Lady Ale House and a convenient walk from there. Despite being small they pack a diverse craft beer selection into the space along with rows of wine. |
78 Visited Friday, 7/1/2016. This was fairly close to the Blind Lady Ale House, so we stopped in for a peek. Staff was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Beer selection was good, plenty of local, regional, national and imports to choose from. Unfortunately, we had already loaded up on bottles for the trip so we didn’t end up buying anything, but if we had stopped here first, we would have purchased several bottles. |
84 Nice shop, with lots of interesting good beers. If I lived there, I would visit every week. Reasonable prices. |
