3.4 Brakspear Bitter (Cask) Nice weak (3.4%) quaffable bitter. The only cask bitter at the uttoxeter races. No head, malt /mild hop aroma. Nice lingering hops , and malty/banana. Not bad. Also one of the cheapest supermarket bottled beers around. Thursday, June 8, 2023

3 Brakspear Oxford Gold (Bottle) Have you had a half-decent golden ale? Cool, so you know what this is. Looks like a beer should with a good thick head, smells a bit malty, flavour has a bit of the same and some hops and maybe a dash of citric fruit. No more, no less. No nasties, but a thoroughly generic beer. Friday, December 30, 2022

10-2020 Thursday, December 22, 2022

2.2 Brakspear Gravity Aroma : Light toffee maltiness, light grassy hop with merest hints of lemon & leaf mulch. Taste : Thin bodied even a tad watery. Moderate hoppy bitterness throughout, with a decent malty backing. Finish has a little tangy twang to it. O.k but frankly below average. W tle niska słodowość skórki chleba, sztucznego karmelu i akcentu utlenionego miodu. W ustach wytrawne, treściwość niska, wysycenie średnie. Goryczka średnia, ziołowa, średnio-krótka. Finisz wytrawny, goryczkowy z kartonowym utlenieniem. Friday, August 19, 2022

3.3 Brakspear Oxford Gold (Bottle) 500ml bottle @ 4.6% ABV Colour is a clear dark golden coloured ale with a 2 finger white head. Aroma is herbally, blossomy, malty with hints of spice. Taste is very bitter and very citrusy. Getting a herbally, biscuity, spicy, malty, hoppy, limey and overall quite a sharp tasting beer. Quite a soft and carbonated mouthfeel. Overall not too bad and quite easily drinkable. Wednesday, May 25, 2022
