Butelka 500ml. nabyta w Piwomaniak Warszawa. Kolor ciemny, nieprzeźroczysty, piana znikoma a w zasadzie jej brak. Aromat winny z whisky i karmelem i owocami.

Ni to lambik, ni to ris.

500ml bottle from Durham brewery shop. Pours a reddish black colour with a foamy beige head and aroma of woody oak, whisky, berries, caramel, toffee, malt. Taste is toffee, caramel, malty, mellow dried fruits, woody, oak, vanilla, whisky, grassy booze, some red wine & liquorice hints. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy earthy grassy boozy finish. Nicely sippable, think this will improve with ageing.

Durham Old
Cask at Waterloo Tap. 08/12/16. Doesn’t appear on here (or Untappd). Just said ’Old Brown’ next to it on their blackboard. Feint hay/moss aroma. Dark chestnut, with a frothy beige head. Light bitter, with a sweet finish. Hoppy. Bitter caramel, more so in the finish. But restrained. Interesting mouthfeel - hot chocolate-esque, i.e. watery but with some body to it. Dry finish. Nice enough, but bland.

Durham Temptation
October 2016 - Bottle shared in London for the JK Tasting as ’Durham Temptation’, 10%, 2013 vintage. Opaque black with a foamy brown head. Aroma is chocolate, booze, red berries, slight papery oxidation. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is chocolate, leather, papery with a dry finish. Quite dry, boozy and spicy. I’m not convinced the extra aging has helped it in the way that hoppier or BA impy stouts improve with time. But it’s OK. (3.2)

Cool, and into a pint tulip. Hazy, pastel amber gold with a loose and fluffy white crown that lasts the length. Herbaceous, almost vinous nose. Rough, floral, herbal with underlying hints of honey, plum and toasted malt. This one would last the seas; bitter and raw with a whole garden of mixed floral notes. Assertively bitter, rough and lasting on the palate. Medium to light body with moderate carbonation. Mild hints of honey and diacetyl balance the weighty greenery of the hops. Like nanna’s garden has been foraged and deemed edible.I think this one is green as in one for storing, Right now, I just loved the rawness of those English hops. Goldings in there purest. A bitter ale but it drinks well. Had me hooked. IPA back in the day!!! (50cL, BBE 07/17, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Bottle. Sensoric. Deep amber, medium hazy with big, white head. Medicore head retention and lacing. Aroma is candy, yeasty with nice accents of dried fruits (pear, orange) with nice ready and marmalade malty aromas, also some coriander. Taste is semi-sweet to sweet, nicely spiced, just a touch of bitterness. Full body, thick texture, average carbonation, finish is fruity and semi-sweet, ABV is lightly noticeable. In general decent beer, maybe not 100 percent triple, but nice, malty beer fortified with Belgian yeasts.

Bottiglia.

Piana niska, szybko znikająca do postrzępionej firanki. Barwa ciemno brązowa z mahoniowymi refleksami. Aromat karmelowy, czekoladowy i kawowy, uzupełniony lekką palonością, śliwką węgierką i pumperniklem. Goryczka średnia do niskiej, palona. Niskie wysycenie.
