UPDATED: DEC 27, 2023 Bottled@HBF2017. Brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is toasted, biscuitysome mild nutty and mild sweet malts as well. Flavour is spices, some nutty, mild toasted and sweet malty tones. Pleasanty balanced.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2023 Tap (7 Stern, Vienna) (6:4:6:3:13=3.2) Rich roasty aroma. Mildly roasty taste too. Some acidity from the burntness, but otherwise a lightly milky palate. Pleasant dunkel.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2022 Als Wiener Dunkles getrunken. Dunkelbraune bis schwarze Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit Karamell. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2021 Keg (7 Stern Bräu brewpub, Vienna) as 'Wiener Dunkles' 4.9% abv. Almost black color. Grainy, roasted malts, mild hops, chocolate, watery in aroma/taste.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2020 #3758 Clear, red to dark copper, medium pale brown head. Aroma of nuts, vanilla, vanilla chocolate, cocoa muffins, toasted malts. Taste is sweet, lightly bitter, creamy, sweet dipping cream, chocolate, some raisins, walnuts, hazelnuts, vanilla. Very smooth, greately balanced dark lager.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2020 Bottle 0.5l from the brewpub. Clear, copper colored. AROMA- toasted malts, chocolate, nuts, floral and spicy hops. FLAVOR- smooth and creamy, slightly sweet, lightly bitter, toasted malts, hazelnuts, tones of chocolate, floral hops. Medium bodied. Very good.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2019 Das Dunkle ist für mich der eigentliche Star der Brauerei. Es hat tolle röstmalzige Aromen und dazu ein bisschen Holz, Honig, Malz, Torf und ein paar Beeren. Es lässt sich schön trinken und ist ist süffig und vollmundig auf der Zunge. EIn feines Bier zum fetten Essen oder auch für den Feierabend.
