UPDATED: APR 21, 2020 Nice rye flavor comes through the malt base, really mellow with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Little head with a lot of sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Very enjoyable beer, better than their Racer 5 beer in my opinion. Aroma is quite neutral, with a light to medium mouth feel. It doesn't taste like an 8% beer.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2020 Keg at Flagstaff Brewery, Flagstaff, AZ on 15/04/2008. A nice bitter beer and the rye really shines through with more cereal notes.

Out the bottle it's a cookie and light caramel aroma. Nice and light. Taste is heavy and basementy. Biscuit and burnt baked goods. Long lasting burnt sort of cookie butter taste.

Tap at ray jays. Copper red with medium white head. Nice malty nose. Taste is perfectly balanced. Good hop character, with heavy sweetness. Very well done. A good beer to always have on hand.

Draft at Rohnert Park location. Dark amber with creamy head, curtains of lacing. Malty aroma, some funky hops. Taste brings in the rye, dark bread flavors, more of the hops, and leaves with a nice lasting tingling on the tongue. Flavorful.

Carlisle (1463) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 27, 2018
Draft. Pours ruddy brown with off-white head and lacing. Spicy nose with bready malt notes. Spicy upfront with bready malt and stone fruit notes.
