UPDATED: MAY 1, 2024 Bottle. Clear gold featuring a nice solid white head. Aroma of grains, corn and malts. Taste of grains, cardboard, malts, metal and cooked vegetables. Mild and sweet. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Sometimes I ask myself why do I drink stuff like this anyway.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2024 Bottle sample at a tasting. Clear yellow with white head. The aroma is lagerish, corn, hay. The flavor is bitter, lagerish, minerals. Light-bodied.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2023 A la tireuse dans un resto italien. Mousse correcte, blanche et abondante mais qui fond rapidement. Une belle robe blonde tirant vers le paille, très légèrement voilée. Un nez malté. En bouche une bière très moyenne et légèrement maltée, à peine amère, peu pétillante et rien d'autre. Bof bof. Une lager pour étancher la soif, pas pour se faire plaisir.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2023 Bottle (thanks mabjork!). Golden colour, small white foamy head, with some lace. Aroma is grainy, cardboardy, some herbal, earthy and dusty tones. Flavour is quite similar to the aroma, but also has a slight edge of metal/iron to it.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2023 Goldgelb und mit einer Schaumkrone, die die Bezeichnung auch wirklich verdient, tritt das Baffo d’Oro in Erscheinung. Die Duftprobe umfasst eine unscheinbare pappige Süße und minimalistischen, unspezifischen Hopfen. Auch auf geschmacklicher Ebene bietet der „Goldene Schnurrbart“ herzlich wenig. Der „Körper“ wirkt derart erschreckend dünn, dass ich mich ernsthaft frage, ob man das noch als Bier veräußern darf. Phasenweise kommt mal eine pappig-malzige Note durch, die es jedoch keineswegs aufwertet bzw. besser macht. Der Abgang ist kurz und pappig-säuerlich, ohne jeglichen bleibenden Eindruck. Wer keinerlei Erwartungen hat, kann auch nicht enttäuscht werden!

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2021 Bottle. Clear translucent golden colour with a medium fine pored white head, nose is grainy, grassy and slightly floral with some metallic hints, taste is sweet, grainy and a bit cardboardish with a quite bitter almost adstringent finish and a watery mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2021 Colore giallo dorato molto limpido, schiuma abbondante e pannosa. Il profumo è maltato ma con qualche sfumatura foreale. Il gusto è amarognolo, dominato dai cereali che ricordano la crosta di pane e in più qualche nota floreali grazie ai malti primaverili. Il corpo è leggero, ideale da bere ai pasti.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2021 Bottiglia. Piccolo cappello di schiuma bianca. Colore dorato chiaro. Aroma mais. Corpo leggero, carbonatazione media e gusto molto amaro.
