Too high and too long. Make it short and hot and you get the fruit without the plastic.

Is it just me or is Spain vs Croatia a bit dull?

Yeah, learning curve, only brew no. 4 and won’t be doing that one again. No. 5 is just cleaning up before bottling. Tastes pretty good, a pale ale with crystal rye and Bramling Cross hops and SO4 yeast. Should be ready for the Craft Beer Co birthday next Saturday.

I want Croatian and Italian wins and put Spain out. England finish second in group D and they play Croatia in next round would be the best scenario for us I think.

Our record against the two teams isn’t that much different. Against Croatia - won 4, lost 2. Against Spain won 12, lost 8.

And in this tournament they have been fairly even - as shown by the score at half time.

There is a sense that Spain is the "bigger" team, and players up their game against the big teams, so I would like to see England play Spain. A more exciting match, and one that I think would suit our players better.

I enjoyed a bottle of 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze while watching a bit of the Netherlands vs Germany game on some huge screen in a market square-esque place in Antwerp the other day, we just sort of walked into it.

Yeah. Dull. I’ve been surfing and hardly looked up. Commentary team has rarely got excited.

Very.

To elaborate my last 2 posts, 2 fouls near the edge of the area without any reaction, and when Ramos went all out on Mandzukic’s foot, the contact was in the area. Wouldn’t give a penalty, but a 17m freekick was a must. When we attack as rarely as today, it hurts.

The Italy match looks more interesting.

The combinations in these final group matches are too complex. IN big tournaments games even in group stage should be played to a win so everyone knows where they are on the last day. This isn’t football right now, it’s mental arithmetic.

Croatia must score or they are out. Hope it doesn’t end up like Poland when they didn’t even have a shot in the second half.
