90 Gorgeous old traditional pub with worn down dark wood, red hues, punters glued to chairs, loads of cask in great condition, small, comfy and a good selection of whiskey. The spot in town for cask it seems from what I have visited. |
78 Lovely little bar close to Grassmarket
Nice beer selection and a lovely ambiance

58 Right in the centre, this is pretty much an all cask piss-up, with traditional real ales on tap. As such, I didn't find it very interesting; there's only so much warm, flat, piss water you can drink before getting bored and moving on to real craft beer. So if you're not looking for this boring crap, move on. |
82 Small pub with an excellent selection of bottles/cans. |
78 Visit April 2009. |
78 since we got turned away on our first try, we came back for a second during less busy times. Small place in the Grassmarket area of edinburgh. Very tight inside, but a nice selection of cask ales and tons of whisky.Attentive, knowledable staff. |

76 Small pub close to the Castle. Good meat pies for lunch. Local taps/cask both craft and classic. International bottle list with some interesting picks. |
76 Fairly small pub, so we could not get a seat. Good selection of local beers on cask. Got served by a Swedish looking hipster with their usual weird mustaches - as a result service was a bit cold. |
76 A pub with a classic interieur and both a large selection of casks and Belgian bottles. Also an excellent Whisky selection. Quick and efficient service, definitely recommended. |
