“Visited on a Friday afternoon for snacks and beers. Located in the Pabst brewery redevelopment project, the brewery is stunningly beautiful, large and open with a huge bar, a private event space and a pretty outdoor patio. Lovely greenery throughout, and a ton of natural light. The beer selection is nearly 35 beers, across a broad spectrum of styles and several unique and difficult to find styles on offer. Both beers I had were excellent. Food selection is a variety of food options, the shareables we ordered were tasty. Service at the bar was prompt, friendly and very welcoming. I’ll make a point of visiting during each trip to Milwaukee. (Best in area, a must for locals and visitors) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Located in a warehouse/workshop type space with decent on-street parking, They had 12-13 taps with several bottles to go as well. There Germán styles are fairly strong and they do some good porters as well. Good service behind the counter and I was happy to take home a few after my visit. Would go back again.“

“Looks like something imported from the old country. Lots of stained glass and wood and deer and German stuff. The knight's bar was even more over the top. Located just a hop skip and jump from where the Bucks play it was subdued but grew lively after the game ended. Solid selection of German taps which they do rotate. Great German food as well, Has to be seen at least once to believed.“

“Not a big place but plenty of on-street parking plus there's a parking lot across the street. Small but well-curated beer selection with most of the things they sell in 4 or 6 packs available for purchase as singles. Reasonable prices especially if you make a 4 pack or above since that gets you a 10 percent discount.“

“Stopped by on this year's Black Friday for lunch and to check out their two new seasonal releases (a barrel-aged barleywine and an imperial stout). Hacienda took over a big space five years ago that previously was G-Daddy’s BBC Bar and Grill. Neighborhood parking is often a challenge because this is located at a busy five-way intersection, so be ready to do a little walking. Lots of table seating inside, much of it conducive to larger groups. There is also bar seating on both sides of a central, walk-through wall. Bartenders are helpful and offer samples (there were 11 tap choices when we visited). All taps were available as half pours at half price. There's a food menu that leans toward more spicy entrees and appetizers. Clientele is a nice mix of old and young including well-behaved kids with their parents. Three classic Milwaukee bars (Von Trier, Hooligan's and the subterranean Landmark Lanes) are also at this five-way intersection, and the original Good City Brewing Company location is a short three-block walk south along Farwell Avenue., so once you do find parking you'll have no lack of variety.“

“Located in the old church the Pabst brewpub used to be in. Big, open, bright. Parking in this are is kind of a pain. Kitchen in the back. Lots of beers available. Quality good as expected. Prices good. Staff helpful. Recommended stop, and there are a few other places nearby.“

“Stopped by 9/30 on a pub crawl. Big place. Tall ceilings. Upscale, almost pretentious. Bartenders friendly and helpful. Tried three beers, all well done. Prices decent. No small pours or flights but they give small tastes. Worth a stop for sure.“

“Stopped by 9/30. This is where Broken Bat started out. Downstairs, homey vibe. Good service. Prices decent. Tried 7 beers. Sadly five of them were not good. Sad. Could be a great place. $12 for 4x4 flights randomly chosen for you and $14 to choose your own. Overall maybe worth a stop since they're close to a lot of other places, but, they need work on the beer.“

“Located in an old industrial building. Dark and bright. Lots of wood and metal. Garage doors open and it felt decent in there. Customer service was very mixed. Bad at the beginning, good at the end, with the same two bartenders. 3 beer flight in little hard plastic cups. Not great. The three beers were all good. $7 for three four ounce pours. Decent, not great.“

“Upscale bar which brews their own beer, at the south end of the Third Ward, a half block east of the end of Broadway, and 2 blocks from Summerfest. Great location, which also means street parking that can be tough to find sometimes. They cater to the walk-up traffic due to the area restaurants. The space is not large, although in the summer with the garage door up, it expands nicely. 15+ seat L shaped bar. 8 taps (plus an Old Fashioned tap to well represent Milwaukee). The brewing operation can be seen next door from the street. Cosy and pleasant feel with super clean bathrooms. The brews are solid to very good, in a spread of styles to cover all tastes. Prices are Third Ward-ish, but not high. Family not wanting beer will be covered - as it is a bar - and there is a pizza oven or plenty of local delivery options, if hungry. A nice, new, bar with personality.“

“Happening spot in the East Village, which you might think is in NYC, but nope, it's in old Milly. Happening spot with the big caveat that I mean it's happening for Milwaukee. I watched the Warriors game there, which was nice because we were not in the Golden State but still could see our local team show the Kings who was the real king. While the KINGs and WARRIORs played, I was being a ticKING WARRIOR all over the city. Drank New Glarus on the beach in my swim trunks and no shirt when it was 39 and raining. That was fun. Gotta do it for the 'gram - I mean the 'tappd. Then Eagle Park, well, good beers, lots of haze, flights though they're of 8-ouncers so you get relatively rekt.“

“Solid spot in old Milly if you're in town and in the brewery district. I was a little fecal-faced when I stopped in but they served me fortunately. Good selection of brews in a big spacious spot. They had the one and two year b-wizzles on when I popped by, which I happily and ravenously ticked. They do flights. Milwaukee is cold though, which was unpleasant considering I wanted to tick on the beach.“

“Visited after dinner on a Friday night. Parking is on the street or in a lot in the back. Renovated older building, cream brick, wood, big open bar, built around the decent sized brewery. Back room had a pickleball court, and also seemed to have a rooftop patio. Beer selection is 17 beers on draft, available as tasters or full with some cans available to go. The service was prompt, lots of locals, overall a good vibe. They had 77 Golden Ale available to go which was what I was looking for. 1% of annual revenue donated to support affordable housing for staff and community. Good spot, solid beers. (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited for dinner on a Friday evening. Out of the way place, though Google Maps got me straight there. Located in an old power house, right near the Menomonee River. Really neat interior, felt like a country pub, great brick and dark wood. Selection is 8 beers and 3 seltzers available as half and full pours. Full food menu. Pretty outdoor area has nice views of the river. Lots of regulars, friendly service. I enjoyed my stop. “Visited on a Friday afternoon. Big warehouse location, in the Menomonee River valley on the other side of Interstate 94 from Marquette University. Big open space, large exposed brewery visible. A bunch of places and corners to sit and stand. Big selection of beers, available as 5 oz, 10 oz, full pour and pitchers. Light snacks available. Big outdoor beer garden space. Good music and service, stage located in the corner. Overall, I liked the vibe. (Visitors who can make it should check it out) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“First time in a Tupelo Honey even though I've threated to go to the original one in Asheville many times. I've been missing out. Reservations recommended but they weren't too busy and found five of us a table. Bright, somewhat open feel. Street corner so lots of windows. Server was friendly and very helpful. Food (fried chicken, waffles, white gravy, sunny side up eggs) was fantastic. 20ish beers on tap. Nothing earth shattering but lots of more common craft beer options. I had an Alpha King. Prices high, but good quality and not out of line for the area. Not really a beer-forward place, but solid beer list and great food.“

“Stopped by a month ago. Lincoln Warehouse is a brewery incubator. Component used to be upstairs in the place Torzala now occupies, and where Eagle Park started. This is a new brewery space for the building. Long and narrow but still pretty big. On the end of the building ground level, they are able to have food venues. Barbecue place when I was there was good. Lots of beers on tap. Lots of styles but a lot of flavored sours. Bartender did well and kept my friend Kaleb's wallet safe when he left it behind. I haven't tried Torzala yet, but, this is worth a stop on its own, and especially because of the drinker's paradise on the premises (3 breweries and a distillery, and a pretty awesome chocolatier, and a vegan bakery).“

“Located in the Lincoln Warehouse on 1st St. This place has become a brewery incubator. This is located in the spot formerly occupied by Enlightened, which has moved down the street. They use the space a little better than Enlightened. But, it is a literal former loading dock, so it's tight. Bartender was nice. Prices okay. Beers mixed. A few well made, others meh. Worth a stop just because there are two other breweries (and a distillery) in the same building.“

“Visited yesterday as part of the annual work conference. Wasn't too crowded, but, it will be if the Bucks are playing. It's in the "Deer District" and it's across the plaza from the Verizon Center. I'd be shocked if they weren't mobbed during home games. Both bartenders were excellent. Had 4 beers, all were good but not spectacular. 25ish taps, so lots of ticks here. Small food menu (a good thing). Food was decent. A little pricy but not terrible. 3 appetizers and 6 beers came to $80. Bright, open, airy feel. Definitely worth a stop.“

“Eagle Park continues to grow and now the Hamilton Street facility is their small, experimental shop while the industrial-sized brewery in suburban Muskego opened in summer 2020 handles all the heavy lifting for both brewing and distilling. The good news is, on a recent Saturday midday, all Hamilton beverages were fresh and snappy, not a bad one in the bunch. There's a swag shop toward the back with a backdrop of aging barrels of sours, a small kitchen with a limited menu (we didn't eat but others around us were positively commenting on their food), and friendly, helpful bartenders ready to explain and pour free samples of all current taps (there were 16, and half pours were $3-$5 and full pints/snifters were $4-$8). My wingman that day was a home brewer who enjoys pointing out other brewers' faults, and he had no complaints and only praise for the brews and the surroundings. A great spot to visit in Milwaukee's Lower East Side/Brady Street neighborhoods, especially if you want to include it in a beer tour with Lakefront, Black Husky, Good City, Company and/or Gathering Place -- all within 10 minutes of Eagle Park on Hamilton.“

“Popped in to pick up some crowlers after using the app on their website to order ahead of time. Super different feel on an urban street than the one in Mpls along the tracks. Long, high front-to-back building with pilot brewing system in front (for show?) along a hallway, which opens into a big room in the back half - long bar on one side, with plenty of tables. Very nicely new feel. Probably 25 taps. Super nice bathrooms, which is a hidden plus that HelloKitty13 would appreciate. Easy to get to -- off the freeway, the downtown James Lovell exit, run along the freeway to 6th street, south to the roundabout by Mobcraft/Conejitos on Virginia, over to 2nd Street and south a long block with plenty of street parking at 4pm. Their outdoor 'space' only seemed to be a few pub tables on the street, although could not tell if the back had something to the parking lot. Their brews can be very good down to solid, so may be a place to go back to.“

“Open about a week. Still has that new venue smell. Taproom in the bac past the pilot brewery. Nice setup. Big tasting room with a long bar. Customer service EXTREMELY uneven ranging from a guy who was helpful and very enthusiastic about the beers to people who clearly didn't give a shit and let me sit there for quite a while before taking my order. Beer quality generally good. Lots of styles. Prices are OK. NO FLIGHTS like the MPLS location (stupid). But 6 ounce pours for $4-5 and they are friendly with tastes. “I miss the old Enlightened. At that old place you were able to sip beer in a loading dock in an old industrial building. The new place retains the industrial vibe and the good beer. Still a hop forward brewery this place has 12 or so taps all with house beer. I tried 8 today and 7 were excellent. Bartender was helpful enough. New space is bright and open with retro games. Kind of eclectic vibe, upscale and industrial with a pool table, retro table games and some upscale touches. All in all it works. Street parking should be easy. Overall, and as with the last location, an essential MKE stop.“

“Stopped by a few days ago. The experience started off badly. They were closed indoors for an event but allowed seating on the "patio" which was merely a line of tables along the outside wall adjacent to the sidewalk. The empty tables were dirty and remained dirty for almost half an hour as I sat there waiting for someone--anyone--to acknowledge me. Once someone finally did it got better, thankfully. Tried all five beers they had on tap. A la carte small pours are 7 ounces for $2.50-$3.50. Not bad. Candied bacon snack came out with four nice sized full slices of bacon for $6. Entrees seemed to be $12-13. So the value is there. The bacon was excellent and high quality. The beers were all good, well executed, and inventive. The only criticism is 4/5 beers were very hazy hoppy things. Too many breweries are doing that nowadays. Several beers had kicked before I got there but they were clearly marked on the menu and I suspect it was because of the large crowd at the private event inside. Once the service actually started it was good, servers were friendly, and one of my pours was comped for the inconvenience. Rough start, but good finish. Literally next door to Whole Foods which has just installed a massive bar with a tap list. I think the original Good City Brewing is also within walking distance along with several other bars. This is becoming a nice little beer-centric area. Definitely worth coming out this way.“

“I like that this place got 9 ratings between Dec. 2011 and Feb. 2014, and then not one since! Been wanting to come here for a long time, finally made it. Large place, and it kinda has a sports bar feel. Ovalish bar. Not too crowded early on a Saturday evening. Two bartenders behind the bar gave friendly and efficient service. 53 taps, or, 52 for most of us. $20 one time charge gets you that 53rd tap and other benefits. The 53rd on my visit was CBS. The other 52 taps are quite good. Little macro shit, and lots of US and regional micros. I think I ticked 9 beers, and some of those breweries included Epic, Ale Asylum, Almanac, Fulton, and others. BIG knock against the place is they only allow pre-set flights. But they do freely allow samples. Food was good. Curds. Parking along Commerce St. area and there's apparrently parking under the place. But it is in a weird place. Overall, good place to pick up ticks while in MKE, and walking distance to Lakefront. I'll be back.“

“It looks like nearly every other Bay View neighborhood bar and is about the same size as its brethren (that is to say, cramped) but has one of the consistently best moderated and choreographed tap beer lineups a beer explorer is likely to come across. Nice staff, nice (young) patrons with nearly everyone seeming to arrive and depart via Uber/Lyft. While there's no food available, restaurants like Honey Pie and Crafty Cow are just a few minutes away along KK (and have nicer but smaller beer lists, too). Get a base in the vicinity then enjoy the lineup at Burnhearts.“

“It's an arcade. Old games, but several were out of order. And no air hockey = lame. Overly loud; don't come here for a conversation. Upstairs is a little calmer and has its own bar. Huge bar on the main floor. Not really a place for tickers. No seats at the bar and the vibe doesn't call for tasters or flights. The tap list is good with an emphasis on local. Some less common stuff. Prices solid. Pizzas available which looked solid but I didn't try. Customer service was generally friendly, but I'm marking that off because I ran into their idiotic $10 minimum for credit transactions. So basically they poured beer down the drain because I wanted to pay with a credit card; giving up product and a tip, but they would have sold it to me had I not closed my earlier tab. Weird. Overall not really a drinking stop but a good tap list. I may be back.“

“I was last here back in late 2016 after my Contracts class final when it was Karma Bar under different ownership. The new place has kept the same decor and furniture... lots of dark wood, decent sized bar. Added are tons of board games. Solid pun-filled food menu, and the Tetris tots I got were okay. 20-ish taps with an emphasis on local and regional. Good selection and with the crowds they get I imagine a good amount of turnover. Good emphasis on mead and cider in both the draft and bottle selections. Overall prices on food and drink quite good. Friendly, nerdy bartenders. Apparently there is a downstairs I have never seen. Definite nerd bar, but a good place to come to hang out and try some new stuff.“

“8/20/16: Large place and quite busy Saturday noonish. Maneuvering a shopping cart was quite a challenge both because of the small cramped aisles and the crowd. 3 samplings going on, one of them beer. Employees were present and friendly but passive. Beer selection is good with a few rarities. I picked up an older New Glarus limited beer and some rarer Jolly Pumpkin. Lots of bombers but very, very few small format singles. Prices about average. Overall a good stop.

1/25/19: Upgrading my score a bit. Old score 78. Selection good as always. As Elytra said below, excellent mead selection, one of the better I've seen as well. Also a good cider selection. I was there today and noticed tons of glassware giveaways all over the place (as in buy a 6-pack / bomber and get that brewery's pint glass). Decent glassware selection for purchase as well. Good clearance selection with some solid deals. Got a New Glarus Stone Soup case for $14.99. Kegerator owners... this place will refill your CO2 tanks. Overall still a great stop.“

“900th place rating! And a quality (and underrated) brewery walking distance from my apartment! Sitting here now. Big we style brewery. Small bar with one other bar style table. Cornhole, hula hoops for the kids. Comfortable vibe. Bar filled up quickly and it's the start for the tour. Gets busy. Bartender isn't the friendliest but is doing well and gave me small pours without hesitation. A good thing as they do not yet do flights. This seems to be kinda set into the brewery and a bunch of tanks are visible from the bar. There's a crowd in here. Looks like 20+ taps but no all are pouring. 16 selections now, with seasonals and limited releases. Beer quality is good. Beer to go including limited releases. 12-16 ounce pours are $5-6. Tax and tip I'm gonna get out of here for less than $14 for five ticks. No food but there is a restaurant in the same place with it's own taplist which is worth checking out. Overall they are aiming for destination brewery and they get close to the mark. Close to Pabst (better than you think) and a couple other meh places. With several dozen beers on tap and at least three place ticks, this little area is becoming a neat little destination. Nice place and worthy milestone rating. Too bad Ratebeer didn't tell me it's a milestone. @joet this makes me sad. Why do you want to make me sad Joe?“

“Happy to find a decent new-ish place in my zip code! This is located in the same building as the new MKE brewing, so when both are open you get a 2 for 1 experience. And Pabst is a few steps away. Good little hotpocket of ticks. I confirmed this business is not connected with MKE. Different ownership. Which is a bit confusing as the brewery tour starts here and there is MKE merch available. The MKE side was closed but it was visible through a garage door. Back to this place... huge and cavernous. Could easily fit hundreds. Good tap list with a local emphasis but also featuring less common stuff. Decent list of canned beers and a "sour list" with some interesting things. Food (chimmichurri and chorizo stuffed mushrooms) was okay, not great, and pricy. The beer too is pricy, looked like $6-9 for full pours. I had a $12 app and a 4-beer flight and with tip ran up a near $40 tab. Oof. Staff was friendly and helpful when asked, but generally never checked in. It was dark when I arrived but looks like it could get bright inside. Clean and modern interior with trance-like dance music going. Overall a decent stop but bring money.“

Staff was friendly though one dude was an eavesdropper and would make weird responses to my conversation with my friends. Creepy! Place is open at 5AM! Because its a coffee joint too. So maybe this is the place to end an epic night of boozing! 8 beers on tap. A couple saisons, wheat IPA, NEIPA, Gose, berliner, a sweet stout, and a variant of that stout. All were executed well and ranged from good to very good. 5 ounce samples are available for $2.50 - $3.50 or so. Overall nice stop and welcome addition to the scene!“
